I received a fax from VIPOrlando for 4 nights and 5 days at a maingate hotel. It included park passes for 3 days for $149.00 per person. Up to 3 children were free. What is the catch? Has anyone ever dealt with this company before. Sounds too good to be true.

Yes, it sounds way too good to be true. Park passes alone for an adult would cost that much.

Disney park passes for three days for under $150, including room stay and children free?

Sounds unreal to me, but you don't give us much detail. Which hotel is it? Are the children staying free? Because in that case that is not odd at all, but free passes for up to three children sounds outlandish to me.

Many budget sites charge a little over $35/night, and children stay free. Many members of the board do not recommend them because they are normally dirty, unsafe and overall problematic.

Similar offers may be easy to find on your own, but it all depends on where you are staying and what that price you quoted includes.

They don't give much info on this fax of course. I would guess the park passes are probably 1 park per day. There's no way they could be park hoppers. They don't list the hotels on the fax but on their website they list the Ramada, Travelodge, and Buena Vista. You have to call the 1 800 number for info. I'm sure there is a catch.

You will have to let us know just WHAT the catch is when you hear back - because there HAS to be something. Even if they ARE 1 park per day tickets - they still cost about $51 per person per day. Looks like you are staying for free! :D

I took a look at VIPOrlando's site and under their "Packages" page I found this http://www.viporlando.com/packages.htm . It sounds like what what faxed to you, mforbach, but with a 4 day hopper. And they are quoting $400 per person.

This happens quiet regularly if you are staying offsite ...

You can get cheap or free tickets to WDW but the catch is usually spending breakfast at some timeshare resort and listening to their spiel for an hour or two. Of course, you are not obliged to sign up but you get tickets or discounted rate (aka Dangling carrot) for your troubles.

I was offered these type of deals the one and only time I stayed off-site back in July 2000. I declined but saw several people taking up the offer while I was staying there (2 weeks). As with all things, CAVEAT EMPTOR (Buyer beware!)

Called for info and found out you listen to a 90 min. presentation. They give you park tickets for 3 days. 2 days for the major parks and 1 day for a water park or Pleasure Island. You have to buy tickets for any children. So for $345.00 (including tax) you receive 4 nights at the Travelodge Maingate East, tickets, and 1 free breakfast. Sounds like it might interest some but I think I'll skip it this time.
