Looking to get a weekday pass based on current schedule. Chance that several months after we use the pass the first time we may do a weekend trip. Can we upgrade at that time? Want to make sure the 14 day from 1st use limit doesn't apply to this sort of upgrade. Would prefer not to pay for the weekend days until we know we'll use them.

I am pretty sure any version of an Annual pass can be upgraded at any time. The only catch is that it is retroactive to your original activation date. So say you get a pass now, and opt to upgrade in 6 months, you only have 6 additional months to take advantage if the upgrade until you reach renewal time.

Here is the scoop on upgrading APs:

I think the 14 day limit you speak of applies to regular tickets that are not annual passes of any kind (so not seasonal , EPCOT after 4, weekday, etc.)

When we bought our Seasonal APs they let us know that we could upgrade at any time to regular APs or PAPs but that we would need to pay the difference of the upgrade in full on that day (we are doing the monthly payments) and that it would date back to our initial purchase date as said above.
