Is there still that detour when going to I75 after crossing at the Ambassador Bridge?

Last August after my family and I cleared US Customs at the Ambassador Bridge I remember everyone had to take a detour which lead onto I-94 because of construction in the Detroit area, however it still had signs for getting I-75 and it was actually easier then the normal route for getting there. Anyway we are leaving this Friday for Clearwater Beach and are driving down along I-75 so I am just wondering for anyone who has recently crossed into the United States at the Ambassador Bridge, if they still have this detour when going to I-75 South?

Oh I would like to also know the answer to that question. We leave tuesday night and crossing over that bridge.
Thanks!

I went across a short while ago, and its a little easier than it was a year ago. After you pay the toll, head towards the ramp that's on the left, but stay in the RIGHT LANE that will say I-75 North. You'll be heading north for only a mile or so until you get to Rosa Parks Blvd. Be careful when exiting because you are crossing a lane that's heading onto the highway (dumb I know!) At the stop light turn a SHARP LEFT onto the overpass. At the next light, turn left again and the ramp is there for I-75 South. Follow the signs from there.....you'll approach one more ramp that'll split into two directions....stay left (I think, one will say I-75 and one will say I-96) and your on your way.

I know it sounds complicated but its really not. If you go on Google Earth and zoom in on that area, that'll give you a better visual. ;)

Enjoy your trip!
