Is there something on the DIS that just super annoys you?

Hey! If you DO jab a pencil in your eye then you can start a post with a picture of your festered eye and ask if you should go to the doctor!:thumbsup2

Absolutely! How does this sound:
Help! I stabbed a pencil in my eye! Is that bad? Do you think its infected? It happened an our ago, and I tryed to call the store I buy my sunglasses at to ask them, but they just kepped laughing at me.:confused3 It's bin bleeding steady the hole tyme, but its starting to crust over. SHould I call my doctor in the morning, or see if my dawgs emergency vet will see me????? Have you ever stabbed a pencil in our eye? What did it look like? Mine is a number 2 pencil, so does that mean I'll prolly still be able to read standardized tests OK? Do you think it will need stitches, or will they just give me eye cream??????:confused3 What would YOU do????

There are things that annoy me, but not super annoy me. I do get angry when some people deliberately give others a hard time, just to be hurtful, but other than that, the Dis is a smooth place compared to some other message boards on other sites.

Lack of nudity

:rotfl:

About the only things that annoy me are tag beggars (but I just don't read them, generally), cutesy-speak (ressie, Cindy, etc.) and lately, the slowness of the boards. They seem to be hanging up more and more often.

Other than that, I love this place. There's ALWAYS something to read! :thumbsup2

What bugs me are people who put pictures of theire pets and kids in the signatures. Why would you want people on the intenet to know what your kids look like. And who cares if you dog wears glasses and a stupid hat.

You are aware that you can turn signatures off, right?

I sure wish that the people that use this board to blog would just take the effort and set up thier own blog elsewhere. They know who their friends are and could easily pm them with the blog's url.

Maybe we can "vote" some of these threads into somewhere else in cyberspace.

I wish!

My guess is that people who do this would never get a proper blog because then they'd lose too much of their audience. :rolleyes1

How many threads about which character meal to go to are really truly necessary? These topics are easily covered by a simple forum skimming. Maybe a sticky would help. but oh my goodness, when I see "Which Character meal would my DD like? She really loves princesses. Should we do Lilo and Stitch?" Seriously?! Seriously?!?!

...Sorry, but I've held that one in for ages. Thanks for the vent ;)

What the hell were that many people doing running around with steel cinders in their eyes?! :scared1: These darn kids today...

Wow...I can only imagine what is weaved into this thread...lol - Lots n lots of differeing opinions around the boards...

All I can think of (again, not even going into this thread....lol) is when people on here criticize others for the way they pay for their Disney trips, or make the decision that their choice is wrong on when, why or how they vacation.

and...in the words of Forrest Gump...

that's all i got to say bout that

I don't even know what a steel cinder is, but I thought that picture was just awesome.:lmao: I bet those kids stuck cinders in their eyes, just so they could go to the giant magnet doctor.;)

This doesn't really "bug" me, but it cracks me up every time. When someone starts a thread, "Has anyone ever....." as in, "Has anyone ever stayed at POR?" or "Has anyone ever eaten at LeCellier". Nope. Never in the history of WDW. :lmao:

OK, well THAT makes sense then! :thumbsup2 God forbid someone with a steel plate in his head ever have to go to the giant magent doctor...As soon as he walked in the door, he'd fly right through the office, slamming face-first into the giant magnet. That probably still wouldn't hurt as badly as steel cinders in the eye, though.

My brother hooked his eye with a fish hook when he was 7.It hooked right through, barb and all. Is that like a steel cinder I wonder?

I've been waiting a long time to fit that lovely story into a post, this seemed as close as I would ever get.......

I also wonder how my parents handled the situation with no message board to consult with before taking action.:confused3

Personally I like pics of Charlie.

Oh I must add:

"My little son Billy has been to Disney 400 times. Every time he has cried at the mere mention of Mickey Mouse, and whenever we see a character (doesn't matter which one) he tends to wet his pants. Should we eat at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends? He can just hide under the table if he has to, but he'll have fun, right?"

Speaking of things in eyes (cringe)....my friends little brother was 4 and got into his moms sewing kit.... got the seam ripper :scared1: :scared1:

Yeah....he has a glass eye now pirate:

Yes.

Incorrect spellings.

there/their
your/you're

And then to watch the same people who make these mistakes brag on their education. :lmao: Cracks me up EVERY time.

Me too! I just want to answer No.

My dislikes? Someone starts a topic, doesn't like the responses and wants the thread closed or people that get mad when someone has a different opinion than they do.

Posters that instead of posting a simple answer go on and on, and after the first 2 lines all I read is "blah blah, blah blah, blah blah". In my head it sounds like the adults in the Charlie Brown movies.

No paragraphs on long posts, makes it very hard to read and the above applies to that also.

Sometimes I feel like things I say are ignored. Like someone will post asking for advice or someone's opinion on something and I'll give mine. Then the OP will respond, making no mention of anything I said. Then someone else comes along and gives the same advice I gave and the OP responds to that person that it is great advice.

I don't take it personally or anything (I don't take message boards THAT seriously!) but it's just one of those moments where I have to roll my eyes! Maybe because I have a low post count relative to many people on this board? :confused3 Oh well, no biggie.

No, I have a high post count and that happens to me, too. I feel like asking, :wave2: "HELLO??? Am I on your Ignore List? :confused3

Then I figure, I'm not in a clique, so they prefer to answer fellow clique members instead.

I honestly think people do more posting than reading, many times I have asked a question in a thread and people just keep on posting as if they never seen it. :confused3

what I really dislike is whenever you take the time to post a picture or anwser a question that someone has asked and they never even say thanks or ya or kiss my butt...this happened twice over the weekend....yeah I go with people just like to post and not read the answers.
