My pet peeve is when people don't use punctuation, paragraphs and/or a spell checker. If you don't have enough pride in what you write and take some time to make it readable then I won't waste my time puzzling out your drivel. I don't expect anyone to have a copy of Strunk and White's "Elements of Style" on hand when they write. I just expect people to make a small effort when they write.

I hate when posters defend Disney at all costs. I love Disney or I wouldn't be on the Dis but some posters will defend Disney no matter what a poster is commenting on. They seem to get pretty nasty about it too. Other than that, I love all the tips and advice.

It bugs me when people put “OT” in the subject line of their posts on the Community Board. What could be off topic on this board? Just what do they think the topic is?

Sometimes those threads were moved to the CB. They were OT on the board where they were started.

There are a few things that annoy me.
The first issue I have is with people who abreviate EVERYTHING!!! I can't stand reading somthing that I have to work to translate.

I don't like the cheesy little cutesy words for things like "Preggers" and "Vacay". Not cute.

There are other small things that get on my nerves sometimes, but I will often chalk it up to my being in a crappy mood.

One thing that annoys me is when (especially on the resorts threads) it is almost considered a hanging offence to differ in opinion with the people who are fans of the resort. I have seen some pretty bad behavior on one resort thread. One other bugbear is the overuse of and in threads. It gives me smilie blindness!

I don't mind them too much ... it's easy for me to mentally skip them.

I sure wish that the people that use this board to blog would just take the effort and set up thier own blog elsewhere. They know who their friends are and could easily pm them with the blog's url.

Hi, My name is Mandy. My in-laws just bought my family of 4 plane tickets to Myrtle Beach in June. They also are paying for our lodging in a 3 bedroom ocean front condo. They treat us to a 3 day ski vacation every year in January. No flames from me, but it does happen!! They don't treat us to a Disney vacation, because they don't like Disney. However it does allow us to save all our vacation money for Disney. Now you can add one more person to your count.

Count us to the numbers too. We paid for my parents to go with us to WDW. Booked an entire trip for them, including MK view at the Poly. They loved it.

If I come on here and post about the things that annoy me, and someone else already posted about the things that annoy them, and they are the same thing, have I repeated needlessly and annoyed someone else??

Ok, the things that annoy me, cause it is Monday and I am crabby anyhow...

1) People who don't take the time to spell or punctuate properly. Ack! It makes me cringe to read some of the posts around here.

2) Overly judgemental people. People who fly off the handle and get just plain mean about things like refillable mugs, kids in strollers, and carts left in parking lots. Sheesh people, if only that was all we had to worry about in our lives!!

3) On the topic of overly judgemental people, all of you who get your knickers in a knot about other people's finances just need to chill. Maybe someone does have a trip report link in the siggie. Lay off them! You don't know what has transpired in their lives, maybe 2 years ago they could afford it just fine! Maybe since then they have been laid off or someone has been ill, or any number of things! Maybe we all need to remember to MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS.

4) And finally, people who post ridiculous questions like "My kid just drank a gallon of paint, should I call a doctor?" or "I caught my wife doing the mattress mambo with the pool boy, is our marriage in trouble?" or "My husband posts here all the time, but I am thinking of divorcing him and running away to Jamaica with our stockbroker... what do you think?". Get real, people.

I don't mind these half as much as the ones that turn INTO these buddy buddy clique threads! It starts out with a basic statement or question, then all of a sudden I'm in the middle of "how are you's" and "how was that dinner last night" and private jokes that I'll NEVER GET!
