Is there something on the DIS that just super annoys you?

People that freak out over spoilers (not in the title, but in the thread). If it is so important that you NOT know, don't open a thread about the movie, show or whatever. Better yet, stay off the net until you see your all important show.

People who think their OPINION is fact. People who can't/won't apologize when they know they are wrong or have overreacted. Is it really so hard to say I'm sorry?!

This!!! :thumbsup2

hmmmm....considering I had just posted that people who post spoilers in their thread title, was this a personal attack? So, I should stay off the 'net until after I've watched my results show? As I mentioned in my post, I don't open the thread about a particular show until after I watch it, but putting the results in the thread title?! Yup - that's the self-importance I was talking about. You see it three hours before me, so you feel that you can post in the title? ooookkkkaaayyyyy

For me it's the lack of a good search engine. There is so much great, helpful information, but you can never find it without a lot of digging. Drives me crazy! :scared: Love the site:lovestruc , but just don't understand why they can't work on the search engine and make this an even more enjoyable place to be.

Not pointing mic and min out specifcly.

But when people complain about the site or say something about how the people running the site do what ever wrong. They work hard on the site (listen to the face book to facebook podcast from last week) they work hard on it and are doing the best they can to improve it and they work very hard.

Oh yes, that was definitely a personal attack, report me POST HASTE!!:rolleyes:

personally, I don't like that we aren't allowed to have some degree of sarcasm. Or maybe it's just me specifically that isn't allowed. :rolleyes1

I agree that a little sarcasm would be fine as long as it's not directly making fun of another poster. That's the only time I have a problem with it.

Something else I can't stand is when someone makes a comment to the OP that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Like when I was asking what qualifies people for food stamps, since I was looking into it for my grandmother, a few people posted I shouldn't need to be asking since I went to Disney earlier that year, and if I can afford a trip, I should be able to afford groceries, etc.

I just think that people need to stay more on topic, and not dig up old things like that. Completely unnecessary, and serves no usefull purpose IMO.

I get annoyed when people say "Disney is for kids" and can't fathom why adults would go sans kids.

I hate that too. I also get the "why would anyone ever go solo?" too. People think I'm so weird for doing that.

I think that staying off the internet would be impossible to do. What if I couldn't watch the show if I was at work, should I tell my boss I can't do my work, since I can't go online, since I haven't watched Lost / Grey's / AI yet?

I don't think my boss would go for that.

I get annoyed that posters try and get threads closed because no one seems to be paying attention to them on their threads!

and posters that forget we can remember other posts that they have made.

And those people that proclaim that Disney is for kids, fine, let the kids pay for the trips!

There are so many acronyms on here that it is so hard for me to read threads sometimes! I have to keep going back to the reference guide and it is so frustrating!

I hate that a lot of people here think it is their job to.....ENFORCE DISNEYS RULES;)

- to stop pool hoppers
-to stop mug re users
-to make sure no one takes not even one bottle of water out of the club level lounge
-to report and move the stuff of anyone saving a beach chair at the water park
-to stand outside guest service and ask for written proof of your childs need for a GAC and to let you know that you WILL NOT get on the ride any faster!
-to let you know they have DVC so there is NO WAY you got a resi before they have had a shot at it (even though you are holding your resi #) lol
- and last but not least...to make sure you do not bring any guests to the pool with you...even if DISNEY told you that it is ok.no way no how will you be allowed to do this!

why dont we just let disney take care of all these things the way THEY want to?They are a HUGE company and can and will stop this stuff when they get to where it is a problem.Everyone thinks THEY are the wdw expert.Lets just visit wdw and have fun?

I hate that too. I also get the "why would anyone ever go solo?" too. People think I'm so weird for doing that.

Me too. I've gone to WDW alone, and I've also gone with others. I like doing both.

Going alone is fun, but it's just a different kind of fun than going with others. When you go alone, you do whatever you want, whenever you want.

I think I hate that we can go 25 pages spewing off about what we hate about other people on this board.

If we were all a bit more tolerant, perhaps the board would be a better place for it.

Quick Question - how do you put someone on ignore? I was trying to figure it out the other day.

What annoys me if when people completely ignore your posts. For example - in TRs it happens a lot. Someone will quote and respond all the other posters in their thread and completely ignore me. Maybe I'm just a TR pariah.

Click on "User CP", go to "Edit Ignore List" in the left hand column and click on it, type in the user name and hit "okay"

I agree...that is what I meant by my post...people complaining about everything people do...I think we should all be nicer to people and not just reply when they want to jump on people for doing something they thing is "wrong":thumbsup2

1) What annoys me most about the DIS is the exact thing that drew me, and most of us all here in the first place: We share inside info about visiting Disney. If one of us has special info we'd love to share, say a hidden location where you can find a special activity & post that info, and all of a sudden that location/activity has become public knowledge and gets crowded. :surfweb: Or better yet - we find the info, then others take it and publish books using that info. :rotfl:

2) There are far more lurkers here than posters. ;) Have to pull them down out of the rafters.
