Hi everyone,

I have been lurking for awhile, but first time posting.

We have a trip planned for April 21-27, staying at Hojos. Have a kids suite booked for the 24th-27th, there were no kids suites avail when I booked (two months ago) for our first two days, so have a Disney view room booked for those two days. I keep checking in with Hojo, to see if a kids suite has opened up for our first two days, but now they have no rooms at all available. The hotel is completely booked!

I thought I was planning this trip at a quieter time of the year, after Easter/Spring break, but before summer. Is there something going on that I don't know about? Was really hoping to avoid crowds.....

UGH, I purposely scheduled that week because it's after Easter and spring breaks too! That stinks! I was hoping the crowds would be down.

We will be there then too, I think it is the last weekend of the spring promotion so that is probably bringing more people there. I too was hoping it would be quiet in the parks but it isnt looking like it will be too quiet! ;)

What is the Spring promotion? Is that the kids at adult prices you're referring to? Wondering because I'm thinking of taking a last minute trip down there...Thanks for any info!

Wasn't this the weekend WOC was supposed to open?

Bingo!! However it appears that is not happening.

I called to make a ressie last night and talked with the nice castmember. I asked if WOC would be happening and he said that the show has completely fallen off his schedule and is nowhere to be found. Remember, they were going to have priority seating and dinner shows, but now they are all gone.

Also, be aware that just because the HoJo sells out doesn't mean the parks will be flooded. Currently during that same time the Disneyland Resort it costs more than staying at the Grand Californian, so the GC must have plenty of rooms available.

Thanks for that info. Whew, I'm glad WOC isn't going to open. I was there last Summer and again in Sept when all the AP holders were stalking Murphy the Dragon what a nightmare.

We are going then too -- Apr 22-27. First time at the GCH for us! We're excited, but I hope it isn't too crowded. :(
