is there really an official way to get a Fax Confirmation of ressies?

in the "dark ages" when i wasn't a DVC Member yet , and i rented points from Members, they have been able to request Fax confirmations from MS of ressies.
and then they faxed me a copy of them.

i spoke to MS today and tried to ask for a Fax confirmation of my ressies.
they told me that MS doesn't do Fax confirmations, and that the only thing i can do is send an email asking for a reply where they list my ressies in the email.

did i ask using the wrong wording?
or is there really no official thing as a Fax confirmation, so it depends on the CM you talk to, and they manually type up something to fax to us?

I'm not aware of MS faxing confirmation letters. It sounds as though the member you rented from was faxing you a copy of the printed confirmation letter he received in the mail or by email.

If you make a reservation request by email, you will receive the confirmation by email. The printed confirmation letters are computer generated and are processed by the system after the phone call.
