It looks like the price is too high for Internet on the ship. I might check with my T-Mobile service to see if they have anything to offer. We don't need to stream anything. Will we have reliable WiFi when we are docked at the islands? It's mostly about checking email and text messages.

If you have an international plan that covers the Bahamas you can use that. Otherwise there is the same DCL wifi that allows iMessage and WhatsApp texts but no email unless you pay for a package.
I couldn’t get iMessage to stay connected went to guest services because I always could get it. They said their wifi can’t support it anymore .He did a one time thing to reconnect it but said it wouldn’t last and it didn’t.

It is not a 100% sure thing. If you get disconnected from apple (which happens) you can lose it. I have the best luck with WhatsApp texting. I was just on the Dream twice in Jan and again 10 days ago in Feb and iMessage worked for me for both the Jan cruises and half the Feb one but my son stayed connected on iMessage for the entire Feb cruise with no issue.

If your T-mobile plan includes international messaging at no additional cost, then it should work on Castaway Cay without needing anything additional.

We use T-Mobile. I have decent service on both islands. But remember once you connect to that you lose access to the DCL app, so I spend a lot of time switching back-and-forth depending on what’s going on.

You'll get the same internet you get onboard-the 'free' version is very limited in what you can access. Also, the signal isn't great-I was on the farther end of Serenity Bay a couple weeks ago and did not have any Wi-Fi signal at all (once I got closer to the BBQ I did get signal back).
