Is there even a chance to get TWO 2 Bedrooms at BLT at 7 months?

My mom is planning our big family WDW trip and we are using our points to book the rooms for 6 nights. DH and I are completely happy anywhere and actually want to stay home at OKW for the extra space but my mom has her heart set on being close to the parks for the little ones. We are looking at the end of June so not exactly DVC's busiest time. So is there any chance to get 2 2-bedrooms there or even BWV? I have prepared her that it probably won't happen but she things we could always get lucky (we wouldn't care about views, we have enough points for any of them since we are banking and borrowing for the trip)

Our home resort is AKL but decided for our first DVC Member stay that we wanted to do Bay Lake Tower. We were taking my parents (father disabled) and it was the first trip to Disney so we wanted it to be magical. We went in November 2010, so Bay Lake was still new. I booked 7 months out and got a 2 bedroom MK view with no issues! It was wonderful and the view of the park was awesome!! I don't think you have issues but you never know. June is a busier time than November.

Villas at all resorts remain available at 7 months all the time. Regardless of the resort, owners do not consistently book resorts to max capacity before the 7 months window arrives.

It all depends upon how many rooms are still available right at 7 months, how many are trying to book those rooms and how quickly you attempt to do so.

If there are 10 2B villas available and 20 people hope to book those rooms, you'll have to move pretty quickly. Online reservations get a one hour head start on phone calls. However, I believe you can only book one room at a time online.

You'd want to get online right at 8am eastern exactly 7 months out. Book one room quickly and then go back and try to get a second.

Just no way to handicap the odds. If you're looking for anything between Thanksgiving and New Years, I would make sure you have a Plan B. Other dates around major holidays, Jersey Week, weeks leading up to Halloween and others can be popular in the Magic Kingdom area. But there are also slow periods when odds will go up dramatically.

It'll be hit or miss. We went to the BCV / BWV in May and we booked at the 7 month mark and we weren't able to get a 2 bedroom for all 8 nights at the BCV so we did a split stay and stayed the first 3 nights at the BWV and then did the last 5 nights at the BWV. Which actually turned out to be great because we were able to do both resorts. We have never stayed at the BLT but we have tried to rent for people at the 7 month mark and maybe it was the time of year but we were never able to get it.

Don't know the odds for June but we've booked at BLT twice at the 7 month mark for a 2BR in August. This year we booked a GV for 4 days at BLT for August in very late May.

Be open to any options and make sure you waitlist!

Also, would NOT waste all those points on a park view. The lake view is nice and serene. You can always head to TOWL for fireworks!

This doesn't completely apply to you but wanted to let you know our experience. I did book at 7 months 1 two bedroom and 1 studio for October at BLT. I wanted park view but only lake view was available the whole time, which was fine. But I did get up first thing that morning to call so I would suggest doing that. Good luck!

Our experience, for what it's worth was, we booked July 7 months out. We were able to book the 1 bedroom lakeview that we wanted. We even had to switch our dates by about a week at about 4 months and were able too.
As a side note, we are BCV owners and loved BLT. We had a great lake/pool view and could watch the electric water parade at night. Of course the walk ta MK was a perk, but I also liked the room decor way more than I thought I was going to.

You should have a decent chance for BLT Lake View or BWV pool/garden view as long as you make the attempt to reserve exactly 7 months out, but understand "late June" can mean very high demand time (for June 29 and 30 next year) because it will be part of the July 4 week.

We booked at 2 BR villa at BLT 7 months out for July with no problem. We wanted a Standard, but figured that wouldn't happen, so we settled on the Lake View. I just made sure to call exactly 7 months out when MS opened.

I'm glad I found this thread. We just got back from our BCV stay, and realized through the course of it that b/c it's such a schlepp to get to MK from there, we didn't go to MK enough to appease our DS (7) & DD (3). So we're planning another trip for next mid-June and are probably going to try out BLT.

Thing is, BCV is my mom's home resort (she's the one in DVC), and I was a touch concerned about the availability of the BLT during "magic" season next year.

I'm hoping from what I've read here that we should be able to get in at the 7 month mark, most likely?

Otherwise, I guess we could stay at BCV again or maybe try VWL if they're available.

I definitely think that calling right at 7 months should get you something at BLT. Another option is to split your stay between BCV and BLT. Gives you the best of both worlds.

We do this every summer--a few nights at BWV so we can walk to Epcot and DHS and then a few more at BLT so we can focus and walk to MK.
