Atlantic Dance Hall at the Boardwalk. It's free to get in and a lot of fun. They play a little of everything and the dj will play by request as well. You can go to CityWalk too.
Atlantic Dance is the only place I know of right on property. They do play older stuff. We did request songs and heard most of them. But you also have to listen to stuff like 'I like big butts' DH refuses to go because of the rapkrap (his word). The music videos play on a screen kinda like the old MTV.
*80's Night at The Groove in CityWalk plays a large variety of 80's music on Thursday nights. $7 admission. Parking free beginning at 10pm.
*Early to mid-80's New Wave/Old Wave is played at Independent Bar in downtown Orlando on Saturday nights. $5 admission, free before 11pm. City-owned lots charge $10 but many private lots and garages are just $5 to park.
I really do like dancing to that song, but yes the video is funny. It is weird because I hated that type of music in the 80s. I was a Duran Duran, Culture Club, Wham type of person. Now I like as said above, that song, "It's Tricky", "Me So H----" and that type of stuff when I am dancing. LOL
I think we might try Atlantic Dance. I had thought about CityWalk, but then we have to drive and have a DD or pay crazy cab costs. Just easier to go to Atlantic Dance and both get to have a few (or more) drinks.
