Is there anything in Innovations that is worth our time?

The kids will be 10 and 8, is it worth our time or should I skip East and West like I did when they were little? Also, is Sum of all Thrills worth it? Right now I do not think they would like it but maybe by the time we go?

If your children like to investigate stuff and see what happens when they push certain buttons, look at same things with different eyes, then Innoventions is for them.
For me, I could spend a few hours in Sum of all Thrills, I love designing my own ride and then see if it's the way I expected it. If not, try again. If yes, try again :)

Only one side is open (I believe it's East?) last month there was a lot of construction going on.

It's not the same as when it was Communicore way back in the day. We spent a bit of time in there last year but it just doesn't seem that interesting anymore. That is just my opinion though. Pop in there and check it out. You may feel differently than I.

My 7 year old and I spend some time in there every trip. 1. It's usually quiet - I think not many people go in there anymore so aside from Sum of all Thrills, you're not really waiting for anything (and even that line doesn't seem as long as it did in the past, though we've never done it so couldn't say for sure).

We certainly don't spend hours there like we used to, but I think it's worth a walk through to see if anything catches your eyes.

I'm a fan of innovations, but we usually visit on our first EPCOT day and I budget only about an hour. We check out what's new or what we missed on past trips. If we enjoy it we come back if not it was a nice break from the crowds :-) but I have to say I have not enjoyed it as much since they got rid of Don't Waste It :-(

Sum of All Thrills is really cool - especially if you're a rollercoaster fan. It's worth a walk through regardless. Very nicely air conditioned and places to sit make it an oasis in September when we usually go. :)

Dad may enjoy Habit Heroes. The subject matter and presentation are a bit hokey, but he'll likely be paying very close attention to Director Jin.

In July, West consisted of construction walls, old video games, the Chase Disney Meet n Greet photo and mostly people lying around to cool off and charge phones. Glidden Paint is supposed to be creating a new exhibit, but I don't know when it will be done. East was slightly better. My son liked the Storm Struck activity, but didn't want to try Sum of All Thrills. He's not one for roller coasters. The Vision House was being dismantled. He thought Habit Heroes looked "dumb," so we didn't bother. If you have to kill some time, East would be a better bet, but I wouldn't make a special trip. West is a good place to escape the sun/heat and want some peace and quiet.

I enjoyed Storm Struck & Habit Heroes but only because I was a CM and had plenty of time to spend in the park. I wouldn't spend limited park time on it. My brother and sister LOVED Sum of All Thrills but I am not a coaster person so have never done it.

The contracts for the exhibits run out, and one side- I'll say West based on the pp- was recently in the process of being re-done.

So when you go it will either still be construction or all NEW!

I say it is worth walking through the area.

The buildings also house Club Cool- for free soda, and a character spot that can be hit or miss. Some days lines are super short- so it is a good way to see a bunch of characters all at once. Other times the line is long.

If nothing else, the areas can be a nice way to escape weather (hot, cold, rain, etc.), and find a relatively quiet restroom.

Sum of All Thrills also has variable waits. It is fun when the wait isn't too bad. Part of the fun is the custom aspect.

We always go to it just to add an attraction to our list of stuff we did that day. But we like Sum of All Thrills and liked the video games in West, apart from that not too much else (We still miss the robots that could play instruments). We don't miss the old trash attraction though, we spent too much time there one day. We tried some new computer thing last time, just kind of remember that. But one thing that's always fun is to go all STOMP crazy and play drums on the metal barrels/trash cans in that one display (forget if it's West or East) :-)

If you have a child too small for TT, exploring Innoventions next door can be a fun alternative to the post-ride part of TT. Though the post-ride area does have some fun options.

Echoing the PP that "Sum of All Thrills" is very fun and I could spend a morning there...doing it over and over.
