My sister is celebrating her bday on the 23rd and I was fishing for dessert ideas and thought cupcakes would be fun. But I don't remember seeing any cupcakes in DL. Can anyone help me out?

Blue Ribbon Bakery on MS USA is a great place to get cupcakes and they have a variety of different pastries.

Agreed, Blue Ribbon Bakery have really yummy and cute cupcakes!!

There are also a good selection of cupcakes at Marceline's Confectionary in DTD and the Greetings from California store in DCA (near the entrance). You can also find cupcakes at Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA and Pooh's Corner in DL.

Wish your sister a happy birthday for me :wizard:

Also, the Candy palace on main street has cupcakes,as does Pooh Corner in Critter Country.

In DCA the candy store next to Greetings has cupcakes. I'm not sure about Bakersfield Bakery (in the train).

This is a great tip... usually the Bakery will have a line, but the bakery counter in the candy shop area doesn't. The cupcakes are DELICIOUS and if you have a hard time deciding, the have a sample pack of 6 mini cupcakes!

Thank you all for your great replies! I can't believe I never noticed the cupcakes! Thanks again!

My family and I really like the new cupcake store near ESPN Zone in DTD. It was there for just a couple of months about a year ago, but then it disappeared. Now, it just recently returned and we visited it tonight. They have lots of delicious flavors like lemon, cookies and cream, strawberry, and more. I'll probably do a Culinary Quest DIS blog on it soon.

This got my interest up and I popped into a few of the mentioned places this week and saw only "muffins" they were labeled as "muffins" and I tried the pumpkin one. Some had frosting and some didn't. I just think there is a difference between a muffin and a cupcake and didn't want you to be disappointed.

I was there over halloween and they had honest to goodness cupcakes at the Candy Palace, and the candy store at DCA next to Greetings. I have almost always seen cupcakes at Pooh's Corner candy store, but I didn't venture down there this visit.

I also didn't go into the Blue Ribbon Bakery, or Bakersfield Bakery in DCA, so I don't know if they only had the muffins or not. I have seen muffins at both the Blue Ribbon Bakery and Bakersfield Bakery. The pumpkin one was delicious, but I agree it is not the same as a cupcake.
