Or am I the only one. We've had our ressies made for quite awhile, and we have actually picked out which restaurants we want to eat at. But I just haven't finalized everything and haven't made the ADR's. I'm still trying to decide which parks for which day. I'm usually much more organized with my WDW planning than this, but I just can't get into the planning this trip. I'm acting more like, "ehhh, we'll find somewhere to eat."

Do you think everything will be booked????

Getting good times for ADRs mostly depends on your party size. While we have had very little problem getting a table for 2 recently for our August and October trips. I could barely get a decent time for a table for 6 at LeCellier for the last week of October. Good Luck! I never make all of my ADRs at one time. I do the hard ones first, then fill in the others around those times and days.

I'm doing the same - booked the night we're having friends up for a big dinner at Maya, and got a table at LeCellier, but I'm still trying to work out the rest. Book what you're sure of (or afraid will disappear) now, and fill in the rest as you figure it out =)

We made ADRs for Boma (breakfast), Raglan Road (dinner), 'Ohana (dinner) and Chefs de France (dinner.) The only one that we wanted and was really limited in availablity was Coral Reef so we went with Chefs de France.

I just booked the free dining package today, but have had my DVC reservations with dining made since February (or whenever 7 months was..LOL). Haven't made any reservations for meals yet...but we'll have 8 nights worth of dining total.

I just finished making our schedule for the trip yesterday and here is our restaurant list-
Chef Mickey's
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace
California Grill
Marrakesh
Cape May Cafe
Boma

The only one I'm really concerned about at all is Chef Mickey's.

I think I'm going to call today.

I haven't made mine yet. I will make it this week

Report back since you have some hard to get places, LeCellier, Chef Mickey's so that we know the status of availability. I always do Cape May, but like the 5:30 seating, so always call for that one early too.

I have not made them yet and I might not get to them this week. Everyone is making nervous about that too.

i only made one reservation but from the threads I am reading I have to get to booking cause alot of things are booked solid... :furious:

I am a HUGE planner and I feel very bad about not having our ADRs for our 9/24 - 9/30 trip made yet :sad2: . DH and I are going with very good friends of ours (who just happen to be ~ 75 years "young" and LOVE WDW as much as me  !). I hope to have them over for dinner soon to have a planning session. I have made my list of must-dos and would like to dos. Now if only some good airfares would come out, I would feel like I'm caught up :teeth: !!

I called around 7 this evening and had a nice chat with Faulkner who had all my dining booked in about 20 minutes (plus an extra reservation for our visit during Star Wars Weekends). These are for the dates of 9/7-9/15.

Le Cellier was the hardest as what was available for the evening we wanted was very early or very late. I took an 8:40 though I had been hoping for around 7pm. It was that or some time around 5. I also only had a couple of choices for Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace and California Grill (they were booked solid from 8pm to about 9:30...not surprising). All of the rest I was able to get at the exact times I wanted.

We also wanted the 5:30 seating at Cape May and were able to reserve that.

Best of luck to everyone still needing to make reservations!

I just booked my pacakage with free dining for september & have started to work on where we want to eat but have not made any ADR yet . so many chocies !!! :confused3

I feel pixie dust has been sprinkled; well take that with a grain of salt.

Since I need to plan out my DH vacations for the upcoming year in December, I already had selected end of September for our disney vacation. i was days away from reservingour condo when the free dining was announced. After crunching numbers, I determined we could do this. I reserved on April 4th

I basically had most of the planning complete. With a few changes this is my plan and I am sticking to it :sunny:

The pixie dus part is I managed to get all my ressies within the time frames I had planned. I even cancelled one ressies, added a totally different one with no problems just 2 weeks ago.

Maya Grill 5:45
Sci-Fi Dine-In 12:40
O'hana Breakfast 8 AM
Whispering Canyon 6:10
Kona 6:20
Donald's Breakfast 8 AM
Chef Mickey's 6:20
Le Cellier 4 PM (I will confess, this is a tad earlier than I had planned, but we will use EMH and will all the food choices this may be a good thing!)

We are going 9/27-10/05 for free dining and I finally booked all of our ADR's last week. I was starting ot get nervous. I got everything I wanted. The only glitch was that like a previous poster stated for Le Cellier we had to choose either a really late meal 8:50 or really early 4:30 so I chose the early one . So this is where we will eating those 8 days.

Boma
Marrakesh
!900 Park Fare
Ohana
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Hollywood Brown Derby
Teppenyaki

I can't wait!!

Just called and made all of my ADR's for our late Aug. trip (Aug. 26-Sept. 3). Got everything I wanted and was thrilled that there were many time choices to pick from. Don't worry!

I usually wait until Park Hours and EMH's are announced to figure out our touring plan. I haven't seen either of those for August as of yet. We try to stay flexible with our touring plans --- making use of the dining plan is going to be tricky. Our kids are getting a little older at 10, 8, & 7 but -- lack of sleep (our kids never sleep well in hotels), too much excitement and long hot days do make for a few cases of the "grouchies" and touring plans that go out the window. I'm sure we will get it all figured out; our only must do is HDDR.

I am so looking forward to this trip. Free dining is going to help me enjoy eating out --- I don't know about other parents but on our last trips $100+ dinner bills where the kids hardly touched their food drove me crazy. I ended up cancelling more ADR's then we kept because the kids were just too tired or to overheated to want to do more than pick at a buffet and just to squirmy to sit through a table service. More often than not they were happiest with a pool side tray. At least now we can have a dinner DH and I enjoy and if the kids don't eat a thing I won't feel like we threw money away. Askerhaus here we come!

I joined this site about 2 weeks ago, just booked our vacation last Wednesday.

I have made reservations for 1900, Ohana's breakfast with friends, and Chef Mickey's breakfast because those are something I don't want to miss out on.

As far as the other 2 table service meals we'll have...who knows??

I've been scouring menus and nothing is popping out at me that we'd love to eat there. That's what happens with 3 picky kids and a picky hubby too (I can be picky but I'd make more of an effort then the others I think). I do know that most of the places that seem to be mentioned here the most for wanting reservations, like LC, Coral Reef, etc. hold no interest for us.

I like to plan ahead and he doesn't.

I say we should book those last two meals, he says we'll just wait until we get there. See, I KNOW how unwilling these kids are going to be to wait their turn when we could go counterservice and be in a park or pool instead of a sit down meal.

:confused3 right now, I'm not stressing over those last two reservations. We'll find somewhere later I guess.

We've never been to Disney before BUT I do know one thing I think I would like better already. The dining plan options...I mean I'm thrilled we're getting the free dining BUT we'd be just as happy if we could trade those table service credits for counter service OR 2 counterservice meals. It'd be nice to have that option if you so chose. :rolleyes2 Especially after getting there and the kids are going to be grouchy, wore out, etc. some evenings.

We're going the end of August and I haven't had any problems getting my ADRs...I booked a few, like CRT breakfast last week and am still deciding on our other dinners. I can't make up my mind...so many good choices. But I am realtively flexible, so I won't freak out if I can't get what I want. It's all good!

Even for two, or in my case, solo, it seems to depend on where you want to eat. I called today to make some changes. Chefs de France and California Grill still had decent times, but at both Spoodles and at Coral Reef, I had a choice of before 5:00 or after 8:00. And that was even when I tried 2 different nites, for the third week in September.
