Please bear pooh: with me. I am completely digital and computer dumb. Looking back on some of my pictures I noticed that some of the pictures that other people snapped for us are slightly blurry or shaky. Is there any program to fix that? Is there something I can do to sharpen the images? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not really. Exposure and white balance can be fixed (within reason). Blurry can't really be fixed. You can "sharpen" the picture, but that rarely helps. You can try something like Focus Magic, but I've never been impressed with the results.

This is going to sound even sillier but how do I fix the exposure and white balance? Do I do that with some kind of program online? My camera is a Sony DSC-H5.

Actually I think Focus Magic can do a good job on certain pics, when you use it a certain way. You can download a trial and see if it works for you.

I use "conventional camera", not digital, and use a threshold method for the amount. (Use an eye or other well defined area for the preview box, start low and keep going up until it looks distorted, then go back down one or two.) I might use some noise reduction afterwards too.

It works best on slightly out of focus pics. Here's an example of a photo I used it for...
