Is there any such thing as a discounted 1-day park hopper?

We need one 1-day, but the rest of us already have our 3-day PHs. Just wondering if there's any cheaper option out there...

There are rarely legitimate discounts on one day tickets to DLR. When do you need the ticket? Sometimes there are promotional tickets offered through certain fundraiser events ike CHOC Walk. You can check on Parksavers.com and Mousesavers.com to see if anything shows up there. Also look at AAA, HR at your work or your guest's work. Is your guest or is anyone in your group military? Sometimes there are special offers for police and firefighters, too. Be very, very careful about purchasing any tickets from non-Disney authorized vendors -- very often those tickets can be scams.

No. Unless you are part of a special group mentioned above (you would know if you were).

The one day hoppers are very expensive and I have never heard of any legitimate discounts offered to the public for them. Its honestly absurd what they charge for them now.

The best "discount" would be to buy Disney Gift Cards with a Red Card at Target and then use the Gift Cards to buy the hopper. That saves 5%.

Sam's Club also sells Disney Gift Cards at a slight discount.

Thanks everyone! I didn't think so, but there are so many knowledgeable people on these boards, I thought I'd ask anyway. I was planning to buy disney cards with my red card at Target for this trip anyway. I'll just add in some extra ones to pay for this ticket too...

Oh, one other thing: If I buy his ticket in advance on the disney website (might do so I can have max pass already on it), can I pay for that with Disney gift cards, or would I have to use those to buy it at the ticket booth when we get there?

You can pay with a gift card on the website. I always consolidate my gift cards on https://disneygiftcard.com/ and the just do a single gift card to pay for a ticket purchase, but I think you can enter multiple gift cards on the ticket website.

Gift cards can only be aggregated up to $1000/per card then you have to go to a different card. Much easier to carry around. My wife got ours on this last Sat at 10% off instead of 5%.

You can do that, though then you’d lose the significant savings you could get from lmtclub.

She said it was a 5 day special so she went and got 5k worth while it lasted. There are many ways to save at Disney, some not so noticable. All I know.
