Is there any reason why I shouldn't convert my Jan 07 room ressie to pkg?

I used a TA to book a room only ressie for POR in January. I know we want MYW hoppers and could probably take or leave the dining pkg. It would be convenient to have but I think it is probably pretty close to a break even expense for us so money-wise it doesn't really matter.

It looks like the room only ressie with advance purchase tickets is pretty close to the pkg rate that I'm getting on the WDW site today.

Should I convert my ressie this week? The mini golf & add ons are nice but not deal makers to us. One year I was so lucky to find a discount only code for WL in January and I think I booked that trip in November. Should I hold off in case some other discounts come along in the next few months before I have to pay for the trip in full?

I just booked this week 6 nights CSR Jan 27 with hopper your way package. I decided to take out AAA because it saved me $$$ enough to make it worth my while. I think I would call AAA and see what they can do for you. I bet it is less than the Disney people quote you. You make a 200 dollar deposit, and can cancel up to 45 days prior. We did not take out the dining plan either.

If you don't want the Dining Plan, then I would leave your room to room only reservations. There is probably a pretty good chance some kind of incentive will come out for room rate. Last year though they had free Park hopping or water parks added on to the package.
