Is there any reason to link my Orbitz hotel reservation in MDE?

I have found previous threads on this-but things at Disney change frequently so I wanted to make sure the info is still correct! We have a PPH reservation through Orbitz in October. Is there any reason/benefit to link the reservation through MDE? Orbitz sent me an additional email a few days after I booked confirming that Disney accepted the reservation but the confirmation number is not the one I need to link into MDE. If there is no benefit whatsoever to linking I am not going to bother waiting on hold with Orbtiz forever!

DL doesn't really use MDE. Been there many trips and never even made an MDE account until I started planning for my WDW trip.

There is 100% zero relationship between MDE and DLR. No reason at all to link the two.
