Is there any need to buy park tickets far in advance?

I'm planning to take DS19 and DS14 for 3 or 4 days in August. DS19 is currently looking for a summer internship/job so he is unsure of his availability. I'm planning to book air and hotel this week (both refundable), but I'm thinking I can wait on buying park tickets until the trip is closer.

Am I missing anything? Thanks!
