Please tell me your success stories...

I know those of you who went online at the 180 day mark +10 had success.

I'm talking about us procrastinators those who went on at the 175 day mark
and couldn't get one.... Have you had any last minute success?

This is the ONLY restaurant my daughter wants to eat at, and I refuse to wait in line for an hour in the August sun for lunch.

I check constantly, the hope of the 45 day mark cancellations has passed, and NOTHING!
Please, give me hope....anyone get lucky recently for August? My daughter is going to be so disappointed!

We booked in Mid January 2013 for Mid April 2013 - only about 90 days out and got a dinner reservation at 5:15 - Although as more people go to the restaurant and it gains popularity, it may be harder to get in. I would just keep checking everyday - that is what I do...

Have you tried subscribing to the August cancellation thread?

Keep checking even after you arrive at DW. And as a last resort you can try walking up. Some people have had success walking up when the restaurant first starts dinner seating. When we were there the CMs were telling people to check back during the evening, but BOG was running pretty far behind schedule so I don't know if any walk ups were seated.

Here's a recent thread from someone who successfully snagged a last minute BOG reservation so there is hope. :) I hope you have as much luck:

I booked a September trip in April so it was way past the 180 days. I tried for 2 months to get BOG for dinner. I checked several times a day. Just two weeks ago, after two months of trying, I got in! Keep trying.:)

I managed to get a 7:40pm reservation for November 2 after booking my trip at the end of May. I thought I would never get one but it finally popped up with one.

Yes! There's hope! We just booked our Sept vacation a month or so ago, way past the 180 day mark. Been trying for BOG ever since. About 2 weeks ago I found a 4:15 ADR on our arrival day (we get in at 11:30). Not an ideal time, but I took it. Kept checking for better times on any day. Just right now found a 5:30 for our arrival day!!! YEA!!! Like that a lot better, won't have to worry quite so much about rushing to MK & more typical time for us to eat dinner.

I didn't really want to go to MK on that Sat, so I will keep checking for something during the week. But I am very happy to have lucked out with any ADR at all. Good luck to everyone still looking! pixiedust:

Have you thought about going for lunch if you can't snag an ADR? That's our plan for our trip next May just do we don't have to use a TS. I've heard great reviews. Maybe you can use it as a back up plan if nothing else :) good luck!!

My 180 days was this 6/25 and could not BOG when I booked, but I checked yesterday and got 4:45pm on 12/22..we usually eat after 8pm but will reschedule. So yes..there is HOPE!

I am so upset. Just had a 9:10 for my vacation and server busy (darn Donald popped up) by time I checked again GONE :( I have been checking for months and with less than 30 days left thought I finally had my lucky break.

UPDATE: Kept trying and got it after calling. Don't give up!

We just booked our trip for the first week of October a few days ago (celebrating my birthday while going to F&W fest for the first time). I got all of my reservations that I wanted (including an 8:20am CRT) but could not get a BOG dinner ADR. I kind of expected that since we are at 3 months out, however, I was on line checking the different times on different dates and a 8:55pm ADR popped up suddenly :cool1:. I am so excited that I was able to score the reservation even though it is really late (MK is opened until 11pm that day), but that is our last full day so we will be able to end our vacation at a wonderful place :goodvibes.

We were able to get a 6:30pm reservation for the second week of December the first day. I was surprised after everyone said it would be difficult. It is on our DVMCP day, so perfect.

Not sure how old your dd is, but one way to spin this is to say at lunch you can pick ANY room you want to sit in--dinner is you get what you get! Not sure if that will help.... The food is great at both lunch and dinner, and I think the main attraction is the building--again which you can explore more at lunch. Definitely keep trying to get a dinner, but honestly, the food was great at lunch, they bring it to you on the special carts, and you can wander more. Plus you get to experience the magical suits of armor! Hang in there!

We were in WDW on Presidents Day week this year. I was able to get BOG about 2 weeks before we left and CRT for breakfast on my little DD's birthday 4 days before we left.

It is definitely possible but you have to be persistent and lucky at the same time.
I would never get it any other way because we don't even book vacations 180 days out.

I just managed to get an ADR for 5 in Sept. Made my day. I was looking to make a change to a different ADR and just thought I would put in BOG and it was there. So it is possible. Keep trying. Good luck.

There were still BOG ressies available when I checked a couple hours ago Was looking week of Dec 28th.pixiedust:

I booked our Disney package the first week of April for our vacation this July. I then went online and booked my dining reservations and I did get BOG for a 4:35 p.m. dinner. I figured I just got extremely lucky.

My DSis got BOG ADR for December 30th! She called this morning, I am surprised and happy for her!

my honeymoon is November 3-12 and I got engaged a few days after the 180 day time so when I booked my trip it wasn't available, but I just got a ADR for November 7th at 5:25!

We got our 6:30 BOG reservation for August 25, right after the 180 mark, thanks to the DIS boards. They hadn't opened the dates at the 180+ mark, but it was announced here. Got it online too! I was SO lucky! And we got CRT at 0805 the day before. My family is so excited. We haven't been to CRT in 8 years, and BOG is new.
