Is there any DVC propety at Disneyland that you can rent points for?

dianne - you can use your DVC points at DL at their hotels. you have to call and ask for the point system and your stay and they will tell you how many points it will take
We just got back from DL and used our DVC - we usually go every October and use them
hope this helps

Reading DD's post the other way, you can rent points and use them at the hotels in Calif., but currently the cost of doing this would probably exceed paying a discounted cash rate after taxes are added. Just not worth doing.

maybe I am not reading the post correctly, but there are not taxes or cash to be added when you use your DVC points in DL - I have used mine several times and paid nothing on check out or when making ressie

You are correct - there are no additional taxes to pay when you pay with points.

I think Joe meant that renting points would be more expensive than booking directly with Disney, even if you considered the taxes on a discounted rate .

Best wishes -

Sometimes the simplest answer is what one is looking for...

There is no DVC resort at Disneyland. The DVC points required per room at non-DVC resorts are much higher than for DVC resorts at WDW and you can probably do better with other discounts when paying cash than by renting DVC points from a member to stay there.

Another option is getting an II exchange with the Marriott Newport Coast resort, which was originally conceived as a DVC property (with a Mediterranean theme) before Disney sold the land and plans off to Marriott (I believe, after it discovered that VB was not selling as well as they wanted). I am pretty sure that Marriott altered the designs somewhat, but what has evolved is still true to the idea, tho not DVC.

This resort gets good reviews on TuG, and since they're still building there, you can get discounted cash rooims too.
