Hi, what types of chain resturants are located near Disneyland? As of now we are staying at the HOJO. We are looking for places like Applebees, Chilies, Olive Garden and also cheaper places like Wendys, McDonalds, Taco Bell etc.. :) We are going to miss Free Dinning :sad1::rotfl:

There is a Mimi's and Mc Donalds right across the street. Down Harbor to the south, you can literally get almost all the other ones you mentioned.

Too add on Harbor almost directly across is a IHOP to the right a Denny's Tony Roma's, and near the end of the block a subway and (panda express)?

Joe's Crab Shack down the road. In-and- out near by.

Gardenwalk on Katella (if you want to venture that direction) has Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, California Pizza Kitchen, Bubba Gumps and Johnny Rockets.

Wow are all these places walking distance? Is the public transportation/buses up and down harbour

Be careful of the IHOP. I hear they gouge their prices and it's very expensive to eat there.

Gardenwalk, Mimi's Cafe, McDonald's, and Denny's are walking distance. The others are down Harbor Blvd, accessible via ART or OCTA #43. Actually ART Route #15 can get you to The Block at Orange, which has numerous very interesting restaurants and counter service locations. We've been fond of Corner Bakery lately.

Except for the In and Out that Jack mentions these are all within walking distance of the gates. Garden walk is the furthest at about 15 minutes walk.

ART is the anaheim resort transport and stops near hotels in a much wider area, but near a few of these places.

Mimi's, McDonald's, IHOP, Denny's, Tony Roma's--if you're willing to walk a bit further, there's also a Subway.

I'd recommend avoiding Captain Kidd's--both times I tried it, it was truly awful.

I would definately recommend Mimi's. We stayed at the Fairfield, so it was behind our hotel, within walking distance. I had a Thanksgiving like meal even if it was summer, I was just craving it! It was one of the best meals I've had! They bring you sweet & savory bread to start, and my meal had turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce! It was so huge I had to take leftovers back to the room, thankfully we had a refrigerator/microwave. They will send you discounts/specials if you get on their email list too! There was also a McD's in front of our hotel, as well as a Millie's. On the way to the park, Ihop, Tony Roma's and Cold Stones. We also ate at PF Chang's & Cheesecake Factory at the Anaheim Gardenwalk. Lots to choose from!

There's a Quizznos sub place on Harbor, it's attached to on of the hotels on the way to the pedestrian entrance (I can't remeber which hotel). I'ld also recommend staying clear of Captin Kidds (there is a reason their buffet is super cheap) IHOP we really liked and we didn't think their prices were too bad, however, we only order breakfast at IHOP (I have yet to see an IHOP do anything other than breakfast well)

.a mimi’s café across the street on harbor from DLR (they are a chain) along with a Tony Romas an a McDonalds. On Katella near the 5 freeway is a Del Taco.. and at the gas station at ball and harbor near the hotel Menage is a Taco Bell.

Definitely stay far AWAY from Captain Kidd's & the IHOP, the IHOP is very very overpriced, we paid about $50 for a family of 4 to simply eat dinner, no appetizers, no desserts, just dinner and drinks..and 2 of those were kids ordering from the kids menu!!!! NOT a good place to eat at all! Captain Kidd's is simply disgusting, horrifyingly disgusting. They may tout it as cheap buffet (and it is!) but if you can't eat it then it's not cheap! LOL We "ate" there, DBF had buffet, he could hardly eat anything it was so old and nasty, I had a salad, I ate the cheese, the onion, the few grape tomatoes and a few slices of the cucumber that were not slimy, the croutons off the top and that was it!! The lettuce was clear and slimy and NOT edible. We complained the server did nothing for us. It was horrible food.

Joe's Crab Shack is down by the Target, not walkable but definitely doable with a taxi ride, it's a quick ride, about $5 tops. There is also a Red Robin there an Outback and a pizza place that we have never been to.
Garden Walk has some good places and DTD does too. There will be lots of places to eat, Subway, Quiznos, McDonald's (no dollar menu, just a "value" menu), Denny's, you'll find plenty of places to eat. :)
