Is there any added benefit to "check in" way in advance?

We are staying at BLT, end of October, in a 2-bedroom villa. I see on our linked Disney Experience plans, there is an option to "start check-in now". Is there any reason to do this? Any improved chances of upgrades or anything (we booked a lake or standard view I think, instead of theme park view)?

Just not sure what the reason would be to check in so early. Suggestions?

Basically just to get it done.

Upgrades are rare and have nothing to do with whether you check in early or not. Book the category you're going to be happy with so you don't have your vacation "ruined" because you didn't get upgraded into the only category you'll be happy with. If you want a theme park view, change your reservation to that.

Makes sense. Yeah we are fine with a lake view. Going to theme park view would just be a nice surprise lol we'll stick with what we have. Thanks for the info!
