Ok, editing my original post b/c I swear I searched for an official BLT thread and couldn't' find one AT ALL. And now two popped up. Thanks to those who gave me links!

Hey Disneygirlinnj - I've been a DVC owner at BLT for just over three years and I love the location because MK is my favorite park. At BLT you are surrounded by a hub of transportation options including walking to MK if you prefer. I also believe that the views from all the rooms have something to offer unlike some of the other resorts. I also absolutely enjoy visiting the Top of the World Lounge. However from one Disney Marathoner to another BLT is usually not listed as one of the host resorts for runDisney events. I only recall once when it was a host resort, nevertheless I am always able to reserve at another deluxe resort. Good luck with your purchase and future ownership.

Hey ludari! Thank you! Lucky (I guess?) for me I only really do the marathon in January (or Dopey in 2014) as well as Wine & Dine. So at least the January races have BLT as a host resort (or Contemporary). Can't wait to finally stay as an owner! I chose it for all the reasons you mentioned.
