This post was NOT intended to poke fun at anyone. I confess to reading a recent post which made me think...have I EVER heard of a kid falling overboard on a DCL Ship? Could not think of one. That's all that's behind the post.
You can bet any modern cruise ship, DCL especially, has gone overboard...well, maybe not the best choice of words, to make sure that their ships are safe for children.
I've got three incredible kids, so I'm all about kids safety...none of my kids have ever even had a broken bone...but I also taught my kids boundaries, common sense, and to obey...so I've never really worried that they were going to do something reckless. Did I keep my eye on them, sure did...but did not lose sleep that my son was going to fashion a skeleton key out of a spoon in order to pick the lock and build a ladder out of bedsheets so he could scale the verandah wall. (And no...I'm not accusing anyone of not being a good parent...so don't go there).
My point is enjoy your cruise...don't sweat every detail...Use common sense. You'll have a great time.
