Is there an airport lounge at Pearson I can use for flight to MCO?

I haven't flown out of Pearson in over 20 years. I noticed there is a Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 3 (actually a few of them) but it says it is not available for US departures. Is there another lounge I can use?

Terminal 3 US departure ... LOUSY! There really isn't much there at all. Very little of anything at all in that section of the airport. No lounge, sorry :( There is the typical cafeteria style food place, a small duty-free shop, a gift shop (tiny!) and a quasi-burger joint.

Thanks. Is there anything stopping you from using one of the domestic/international lounges? Is the only issue the distance from the US departures?

I was planning to use the Priority Lounge and just realized that there is none for US transborders in T3. There are one for domestic travellers and two for international travellers but none for US transborders?! I have 4 free passes to Priority Lounge and two will get wasted this year! :sad2: Very disappointed!

Thanks OP for posting!! Otherwise I would not have known!!

No, once you finish with security you head into the customs hall, essentially pre-clear and *sorta* enter the US. You can't go anywhere else. Rather annoying the last time we went and could see other food options on the other side of a glass wall :magnify:

Is there a Starbucks after customs?

Thanks so much. Your reply was very helpful. It looks like it's going to be a very boring layover at Pearson at 7 am with tired kids in tow.

If you're flying Westjet to the US, it's out of T3 and there is nada in terms of lounges, but if you're going AC, you can use the Plaza lounges in T1.

Thanks Jacqueline! I might as well put my Airmiles Starbucks egiftcard into good use and get our dinner there instead! I am glad I have booked a character breakfast for the next morning!
:thanks:

The Nobel Burger restaurant is pretty good; we have eaten there each time while waiting for our flight to MCO. Their menu is online at the Pearson website. At least another option.

Also, Nobel Burger has nice comfy chairs and tables with ipads that you can use to browse the news -- the ipads are also their menu and ordering system.

Thanks for the recommendation! Going to check out the menu now!

There are two lounges we use when flying to the US. Amex lounge (you need a certain Amex card, not sure if you can pay to use as well?) and there is an Air Canada (not as good imo and need to be a frequent flyer to use it but may also pay for use?)

Just FYI on the Starbucks, last time we flew I was super dissapointed with the food options here.
I was hoping to get one of those little cheese and fruit platters they usually sell to bring on the plane, and there was nothing like that.
This was 2 years ago tho. I havent checked their menu, but hopefully they have stepped up their game.

I'm not really sure if they've "stepped up their game" but it's pretty much the same "meh" food options they always have at the regular locations. I just go there for the coffee, to be honest.

There is a Freshii in the T3 US area so if you're into quasi-healthy overpriced salads and wraps, they've got you covered.

What about flying WestJet back into Canada(Toronto). I have a connection to Ottawa 3 hours later. Are there any lounges we can use. I have two Priority Passes to use up before the end of the year. I will use them in Orlando if I can't use them in Toronto.

The lounge at MCO is in the opposite terminal from where Westjet flies out of. If you're flying AC, you can take advantage, but I'm not sure how you'd swing it with the different terminals to use the lounge.

Those are terminal 1 as well. Terminal 3 is a wasteland when it comes to lounges that service US transborder departures.

There is a Plaza Premium lounge: https://www.torontopearson.com/whileyourehere/ourlounges/#

Terminal 3 Lounges

  • Domestic/International - Just past gate B24
    Hours: 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • International/Domestic - Across from gate C32
    Hours: 4:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Also: https://www.plaza-network.com/location_detail?city=Toronto

Westjet seems to often (but not always) use the B22-B26 range of gates for their Toronto to Ottawa flights [hat may be changing, see below]. One of the Plaza lounges is near B24.

If you go to the pearson flight search page: https://www.torontopearson.com/en/flights/schedules/# you can search for flights departing to Ottawa then sort by airline and scroll to Westjet. Today they used B1D, B1A, B1B, B2A, B26, B1C, B3.

Here is info about the gates B1-5 area: https://www.torontopearson.com/rethink/t3/GatesB1-B5/# The elevator/escalator to it is near the lounge at B21.
