Is there a way to walk to POR?

OKW and POR are wthin walking distance of each other, does anyone know of a safe way to over to POR from OKW?

No safe way to do this. You have to walk through a construction site or along the roadway. Neither is a good way to go.

I kept this that someone posted a while back. No idea how safe it is, but it depends how keen you are to try it. I've been planning to try it myself one day, when I don't have to deal with a small child and a pushchair at the same time, but I'll bow to other peoples far superior knowledge, if they deem it unsafe.

"Walk to PO/DL from OKW - it's sort of an "adventure" path!!

Start near building 17 and walk thru the employee parking lot...they let you walk thru..then cross over Community drive...you will see a large open area..a wide path used for storage of large trucks & equipment..just walk straight thru it towards Port Orleans..It leads right to the PO parking lot....from there you walk right into PO...from there , its easy to walk to DL...

There are no lights so make sure you are heading back before dark so you don't encounter any critters..also, its not paved so it might be a bit damp or muddy depending on the recent weather..but the walk takes only about 7 mins. We have taken our OKW rental bikes that way several times and it is a nice bike ride over to Dixie Landings...

Its probaly not an 'official" walkway..but we have encountered other people using that path and even security people on the PO side and no one ever said anything negative...its safer than walking to PO along the main roadway which is dangerous with the vehicle traffic."

Walk onto the golf course and hop the fence. LOL jk...

OKW is also almost right on top of Epcot, but there is no way to get over there, either except a service entrance.

you can walk along the road - in the grass - there is plenty of grass - but the way that Bexx would be much shorter and you wouldn't get some weird looks.

You can also do it the look way - take the boat to DD from OKw - then take the boat back to POR. Of course that route might be better after dark.

oh the walking is only done from the 11-19 and 20-26 buildings - after that you have to walk just about as far to get to the crosswalk at Building 17 - but since alot of people use it there is a crosswalk across the Community Road -there wasn't one once.
