Is there a way to guarantee you get a refurb room if you are staying standard at the Grand Floridian?

The only rooms left to be remodeled are in the main building, which they are working on now. As long as you do not book that category you should get a renovated room.

You will 100% have a renovated room. The rooms in the main building that haven't been renovated yet are all closed while the work is being completed, and they won't be available or assigned to guests until the renovations are finished.
