Is there a waitlist we can get on to buy sold out DVC resorts through DVC's ROFR?

...or is that only for members who already own at that resort (or any resort for that matter).

For example I previously owned at BWV and for down the road maybe next year or so was wondering if we could be put on a waitlist for the BCV (to buy and be financed through Disney) if any points became available they might have acquired from buying back from other members selling. Or do they only do that to members who currently own at that resort?

P.S. Since I can't do a search right now, can anyone be so kind as to tell me the current price for Saratoga Springs and if there is any magical beginnings type incentive?

Just call your guide and tell him to put you on the waiting list of the DVC resort you are intrested in. In could be 2 weeks or up to 2 years of a wait.

When your guide calls you and says it is available, you will pay current price per pt.

Is $89.00 the current price, are there any discounts for sold out resorts??

There are no discounts for sold out resorts - no reason to offer any. SSR is $89 a point. At one time there was a $10 off per point offer, but that has now dropped to $5 off per point. I'm not sure if its still available or not and there were limitations as to how long it was being offered/available after the presentation. It was not a Magical Beginnings type program as there were no first years points to buy back - the resort was not open to have the 1st years points, rather the $10 or $5 discount was applied along with the down payment. You could not use it in lieu of the down payment, but as an additional amount of down payment.

As noted, the current price for SSR is $89 per point- but, for all new purchases and any add-on of 100 or more points, the effective price is $84 per point (using the $5 pre-opening incentive). This is not MB as you won't have to forego your 1st year's points.

All other DVC resorts are $84 per point with no incentives- except for VB which has incentives up to $15 per point.

You'll have to call a DVC guide. I'm not aware of anything on the internet covering the current purchase details like that.

You can call 1-800-800-9100 if you don't have a guide already- they will direct you to someone who can provide the proper information.
