Is there a syrup shortage or something?

2 different fast food restaurants this week have been out of their carbonated drinks. Has there been a syrup shortage or something going on I haven't read about yet?

You know, Browneyes, this happened to me just last week with parmesan cheese! Three different grocery stores, and still no dang parmesan cheese! Hmmm...Syrup and parmesan...and both in Georgia! Is there a conspiracy brewing somewhere? Where are Scully and Mulder when we need them?!

Hmmm I thought we would be talking maple syrup...and here you got my hopes up for pancakes!!!

that's too weird... that happened to DW and me twice in about 4 days in Dec. Once at Wendy's and then on Christmas Eve at Longhorn Steak House. Longhorn actually sent someone to the supermarket to buy a bunch of bottles of Coke. Thankfully, they were not out of milk
