Hi, I'm launching a new website about a specific type of vacation destination (wont mention here....but not disney!!!)....not to book a trip just to tell about places and link to their websites, like a directory of sorts. If I can get it to start ranking well I plan to start charging advertisers and possibly doing an adsense campaign. Here is my question. ...to build my site, am I allowed to use some destinations, say resort s or whatever, on there without asking their permission? I am a little muddy on this...I know sites like trip advisor have lists and lists of places, some with awful reviews, and Im reasonably sure they didnt go get everyones permission to list them on there. What is the legal thing here....like if you review a restaurant or tell about a resort do you have to get their permission to publish something about them or to put a link to their website? being its a business that we're talking about, does that make it public record? I thought being this is the "unofficial Dis"...it would be a good place to ask what legally is allowed. Thanks for your help.
