I have a movie, actually a mini-series, that I like to watch every couple of years or so. It's "The Manions of America" with Pierce Brosnan and Kate Mulgrew. I have it on VHS. Yesterday I pulled it off the shelf, and popped it into the VCR to watch it.

Oh my, the picture quality was horrible, and the "tracking" kept messing up. I decided to see if Netflix had it, so I could get it that way to watch. They don't have it. :(

I checked on Amazon, they don't have it either.

I checked on eBay, they only have the VHS style.

I would love it if they would put this movie on DVD.

So, what movie do you love that is not on DVD?

Mine isn't a movie but it is a TV show.

Lucky lasted one season and it was my husband's most favorite show. It was somewhat popular but the showrunners just decided to not do it any longer or it was incorrectly cancelled. It was very well written and I adored the plot. It was funny and dramatic all at the same time.

All we have are DVDs made from recording it straight from the TV. Yucky quality!

I have a couple. "Race for your life, Charlie Brown", "The Star Wars Holiday special", and, since this is Disboards, "Song of the South".

My adult DD would like the television series, "Any Day Now" - with Annie Potts - but I haven't been able to find it in any format..:( I don't think it's available..

If anyone can find it, please let me know! Thanks..:)

Did you try Netflix

I found a copy of "Song of the South" at Goodwill last month. Of course it is bootleg, but I had to watch it so I bought it. Surprisingly good quality considering. After seeing it I am even more puzzled about why they won't release it.

The Ramona Quimby series. A friend of mine wanted it on dvd and to no avail.

I remember that! Annie Potts and Lorraine Toussaint, white and black, best friends since they were children growing up during the civil rights movement. I watched it a couple of times, it was a good series.

Decline of Western Civilization (Parts I, II and III).
I have Part II on VHS, but don't even own a VHS player anymore.

Um, yes.

Total long shot but does anyone know if Shark Attack 3 is on dvd? Its a mega cheesy shark movie but John Barrowman (aka British Captain Jack) is in it and well I got the biggest kick out of it.

Otherwise several made for Sci Fi channel movies (most recently one with James Marsters and I think it was called High Range Invaders?).

Guess what Im getting for Christmas:goodvibes:goodvibes

I don't remember how many total seasons there were, but some weren't available yet last year and I hope to get the rest of them this year..

When you do the search on Amazon, see if you can get a "bundle" pack - used - but it's not "really" used.. They're still factory sealed - warehouse overstock and usually quite a bit cheaper..

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Another vote for the "Star Wars" Christmas special and "Song of the South". I have a pretty decent copy of Song of the South made from a friend's laser disk, but it does have Japanese subtitles on the bottom :lmao:.

But would love a REAL Disney copy of it!
