Is there a movie that you cannot watch because it freaks you out?

Clowns have never bothered me, but I can't watch zombies. Just grosses me out. "The Omen" freaked me out too.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose freaked both of us (me and DFi) out for WEEKS! In fact, to this DAY, I will wake up at 3am and refuse to move. It seems like whenever I wake up to go potty in the middle of the night, it's at 3am. When this happened right after we saw that movie BOTH of us woke up and had to go and neither of us was willing to get up. :rotfl:

I'm sure there is alot but 2 that come to my mind are Enough with Jennifer Lopez its where she is an abused wife and she learns how to fight back and eventually she kills him it just had me on the edge of my seat, same goes with Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Have never seen any real scary movies like Friday the 13th or Silence of the Lambs etc, so I can't comment on those although I'm sure they would scare the heck out of me!!! (I'm more of a romantic, girly girl movie kind of person)

SIGNS w/Mel Gibson!

a) They kill off the puppies.
b) That scene where the kid sees the whatever-it-is on the roof outside her window. Gave me the heebie-jeebies for days.

I have never seen The Exorcist. EVER. I refuse.

agnes!

The Perfect Storm.
I'm ok with clowns but I can't stand boats. What a horrible way to die.:scared1:

Also, The Shining freaked me out when I was younger. I haven't seen it in awhile tho.

Seven is the one for me too. If I come across it while surfing, I surf faster.

I think that movie was a turning point for me. These days, I pretty much refuse to watch any movie that I think will disturb me.

On a side not, to whoever mentioned Event Horizon - THANK YOU!!! DH and I watched this movie just a couple of months ago and both of us were like "huh?" at the end. It just seemed really weird. This week, we were trying to remember what movie it was that left us with such a lackluster impression and we couldn't remember it at all. Event Horizon was it!

Now, you're probabaly wondering why I watched Event Horizon if I refuse to watch movies that might disturb me. I did say "pretty much". And, every now and then, my curiosity gets the better of me. Fortunately, with Event Horizon, I was just baffled and not disturbed.

DH was flipping through the channels yesterday and picked a movie and read the description to me.

"Dominion, a prequel to the Exorcist," he said all nonchalantly.

I had plenty of chalant and hollered, "NO! NO! Change the channel!!"

:lmao: I watched The Exorcist when I was 13 and couldn't sleep for 3 months. I am now 45 and have not seen it since. I refuse to have anything to do with that movie on the television when I am in the room.

DH thought this was hilarious--this had never come up in conversation between us before so he had no idea I'd freak out in this manner. He did change the channel right quick, though. :rotfl2:

So, what's your freak out movie?

omg, i thought it was just me. I cannot be in the room if this even flashes on the screen. I can't bear it. i can watch any type of scary movie, but anything exorcist related, no. i saw it when i was 13 too and have been haunted ever since. the family thinks it's funny but i am dead (no pun intended) serious.

I get VERY freaked out by the movie "Awake".

The part where he is getting a heart transplant but the anesthetic doesn't fully work so he is basically just paralyzed - can't move or speak or protest - but feeling everything that is happening but in his mind he is crying out in agony.

Those scenes during the surgery made me squirm, vomit and not sleep at ALL that night.

I swear I will never voluntarily undergo surgery after watching that, lol.

I hate horror or stupid mindless things jumping out at me kind of movies. I saw one Friday the 13th as a teen, I have never gotten over it. Therefore, I have very limited experience since I am such a chicken

The movie that sticks in my brain and gives me the willies just thinking about it is The Shining......
