you still can't get into it?

I'm trying to watch Lord of the Rings for the umpteenth time and I'm about to shut it off. It bores me to no end. What's with the long intro anyway?
Atonement is another one. I was going to see it in theatres but I forgot about it. Thankfully I didn't, I would've lost 2 hours of my life opposed to 20 minutes.

There are musicians and albums that are like that for me, but with movies I can pretty much only give them one chance so idk

Never even attempted LOTR, because I KNOW I wouldn't be able to get into it.

Juno for me--no matter how many times I watch it, can't get into it, can't like it.

^horrible, horrible movie

thank youuuu. no one agrees! haha.
i think it's bleeeech terrible.
i liked the idea of it, because i like most of the actors in it, but it disappointed me. Michael Cera especially , 3 times playing the same character. blech. (which is why i cant watch michael cera movies anymore--his next one...he plays a CAVEMAN, yet still manages to be george-michael bluth/evan/bleeker/nick)

it makes me so sad cuz i used to be such a fan of his.

/rant. lol

yea no one ever agrees with me either, I had to watch it on the way home from a field trip last year, it made the 4 hour ride so much worse

I cannot watch Get Smart. I've tried about 3 times now to watch it..
No luck. I love Steve Carell, and I like Anne Hathaway alright..
But it's not funny?
It's not even intriguing?

superbad.
call me lame, but i usually love those teen "sex" movies like eurotrip and american pie, but i just can't get into superbad.
i think is is sooooo stupid.
there are like two funny parts.
VERY OVERRATED.

I never watched LOTR or Harry Potter (though I read the first 3 Potter books when I was younger) because I wouldn't get into them. Why waste the time?

Juno was ok. It was different but I don't know if it was worthy of a best picture nomination. I guess I'd watch it again if I was bored enough.

Never liked American Pie. I just found it pretty stupid.

I also couldn't get into Pirates of the Caribbean. It was just too confusing. I wanted to like it because I love Johnny Depp and I think that character is awesome but I just couldn't "get" it. I might attempt watching it again but I don't know.

I wasted two and ahalf hours of my life yesterday trying to watch LOTR.
For the 5th time.
:headache:

I liked Juno and I <333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 POTC.

I find that I can't get into any mythical movie. The only ones I like are HPs, but if it comes to something like The Golden Compass it's a no.

I got through Superbad, but I don't like it. I HATE IT.

Anyhoo, LOTR, the first one sucks. A lot. My favorite is the second.

Lord of the Rings for me too. I also tried to read it, and couldn't get into it. I don't mind "light" mythical and fantasy worlds like Harry Potter and stuff, but anything more intense than that just annoys me. Can't get into it.

I am a movie fanatic and when I tried to watch Casablanca, I just couldn't get into it. I stuck with it, but I just didn't like it. I did some reading about it beforehand and read that the script was unfinished and rushed etc, IMO, you can so tell. I think I will try it again though because it had its moments and for the first 30 minutes or so I wasn't really paying much attention.

I don't like mythical movies either.

I like Star Wars though, but I'm not sure if that really counts as "mythical".

Nope, can't watch Star Wars either. It bores me to tears - and that's coming from someone who loves space and action movies.

Twilight

I wanted to like it 'cause I lovelovelove the books but the film just sucked compared.. I tried to watch it like 3 times but idk.. it's just something about it.. And Robert Pattinson just isn't hot enough to be Edward. haha XD

Twilight. I thought it was horrible. Absolutely atrocious. I abhorr the movie version.

Other than that, I pretty much have an easy time. There are certain movies I don't like, true, but it isn't that I never got into them.

Superbad is one of them. All my friends think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread (OK, that isn't true anymore. I introduced them to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which really is the greatest thing since sliced bread). I thought it was an OK movie. Would I watch it again? No.

I have to be in the mood to watch twilight or else it bores me to tears.

Juno was good, but not good enough to be nominated. .....everyone sats michael cera is cute...i am sad to say i disagree

great thread by the way.
