Is there a map that shows the FOF parade route?

I'm trying to determine where to try and view - have a Anna/Elsa M&G FP+ at 2-3p, then 7DMT FP+ 4:50-5:40p.

thanks!

Starts in Frontierland

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents,
or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.

*If functioning that day* does the dragon breathe fire throughout the entire parade route, or are there only certain more-wide-open areas on the path where that happens?

I'll probably will watch the parade at frontierland. I have a FP+ for Splash Mountain at 14:15. I'll probably finish this ride around 14h40... I'll be able to have a nice view of parade getting there only 20 minutes earlier?

I would bet she does that in the more open areas only. I didn't see her do it yesterday across the LS bridge for instance, yet she did it no less than 4 times passing through the northern half of the Hub alone.

We watched at the beginning of the route in Frontierland, and the dragon didn't breathe there. It's only feet from the two story buildings on one side, and the trees beside the water on the other, so probably too risky there.

Still if you can live without seeing the fire breathing, it's a good place to watch. There is a lot of shade (and rain shelter) to be had beneath the trees and the overhang in front of the restaurant and shops there. You're right there when it starts, it goes by at a decent pace, and you're back to riding rides in the back half of the park while all the crazies camping the Hub and Main Street are gonna be stuck for another 30 minutes waiting/watching. :)

What is the best escape route out of the park if we watch the parade somewhere before it gets to the HUB?

For this, I would watch on the Pecos Bill side of the street in Frontierland. As soon as the parade has passed, simply turn and scoot back down towards AdventureLand. If the sidewalks are crowded right on the route as they clean up, you can also enter and cut through Pecos Bill / Tortuga Tavern and come out in Adventureland. Then from the entrance to Adventureland, head down the sidewalk by Crystal Palace and Casey's. You can get down Main Street either by hugging the wall side of the sidewalk or by simply walking through the interiors of the shops and get out of the park that way, well before the parade gets to the Hub.

(From the catalog of been there, done that.)

Fantastic!!! Thank you. We will be scooting out for a quick nap before the night time activities. This helps a bunch.:yay:

Glad to help. We always stuck to our kids nap routine at Disney, it made all of us a lot happier if we did. We are masters at extricating ourselves from parks midafternoon (after maximizing our time before leaving). We've done the "view and dash" so many times in all 4 parks for various parades and shows, lol.

It's super important at MK because the exits can be so bad if you get behind the crowds. They really needed that second ferryboat they just added.
