Is there a lunch "SKillet" at Whispering Canyon?

Have never been, but was thinking of going to the Whispering Canyon Cafe on my last day for lunch, for the skillet (to fill up before a 23 hour train ride with no dining car :sad1:.) I did not see it posted in the buffet sticky, except for holidays, so I am a bit confused.

TIA for any information!:flower3:

Yes, it shows up on the Disney site under the Lunch Menu.

All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Skillet
Slow-smoked Pork Ribs, Barbecued Pulled Pork, Roasted Glazed Chicken, and Western-style Sausage served with Mashed Yukon Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, and Cowboy-style Baked Bean $23.00

It is not a buffet, just part of the daily menu, so it would not be in the sticky.

You can adjust what is in your initial skillet and any refills, that's why it is called All-You-Care-To-Enjoy. Just let your server know if you want to leave anything out, in our case we don't care for the Sausage and we skip it to the initial skillet and any addition skillets. They also have some excellent beer selections to go with the skillet.

It is the same offering as dinner, just cost's less. With all the resort construction, it was a nice quiet lunch when we were there last week. Fewer other "on-site" guests to compete for a table.

Hmm, last week we had the salad and the beef brisket. Maybe so pixie dust since our lunch was at 1:45 PM.

Maybe...or, maybe they've changed things. We haven't eaten there since the fall on our departure day, and it was just like the menu states...no salad, no beef brisket at lunch.

Disney seems to be going the way of making lunch and dinner menus the same. I wonder if they did this here (with corresponding price increase of course).

Is the skillet part of the Dining Plan? And since we're on the topic, do the shakes count as a beverage or dessert?

I just noticed that the other day as well! I bet that's what is happening!

Going to be the negative nancy on this one:

Went in 01/16, party of three, dinner reservation, place was packed and I got the skillet. I think what you should do is when they bring you the skillet, take all the food, dump it out and eat the skillet, has to be better than the food they brought and I promise I am not a picky eater, wife calls me the hound dog on the front porch because I will eat just about anything. I didn't even get through a 1/4 of the skillet before I just quit. Everything was so dry with no flavor at all. I love all sorts of food at Disney but this was not one of them.
