Is there a list of pools that you can pool hop to?

Hi. I am a newbie here. I am hoping to try out the BCV for the 1st time in April, (I will be renting points) and remembered someone posting on the resort board the DVC members are the only ones allowed to pool hop. I didn't know if there were any that were off limits.

Pool Hopping Information for 2005

You and any Guests staying with you at Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Beach Club Villas or Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are permitted to use other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you're staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that resort hotel. Please check with a Host/Hostess at the Front Desk of the resort hotel you wish to visit to find out about pool-access availability. You must present your "Key to the World" card with your "Disney Vacation Club Member" designation on it to use other resort hotel pools. Pool hopping is not available at Uzima Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. In addition, this restriction includes the leisure pools at these two resort hotels. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time because of capacity limitations. Due to expected high occupancy, Disney Vacation Club Members may not "pool hop" during the following dates*:


February 20 - 26, 2005

March 19 - 27, 2005

May 27 - 30, 2005

June 27 - July 4, 2005

September 2 - 5, 2005

November 21 - 27, 2005

December 17, 2005 - January2, 2006

*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity.

this is the first time that labor day weekend is included....

I wonder why?

I would think after last year - all the hurricanes were in Sept - that there would not be a problem with crowds for this year????

Can Disney Vacation Club Members pool hop if they are staying at another disney hotel? For example...in Feb. I'll be staying at the Wildnerness Lodge, but not the villas. I'll have a key to the world card and my DVC blue member card. CAn I pool hop to the Boardwalk? From what the OP posted, it sounds like you can only pool hop from one DVC resort to another.

You must be staying on points to pool hop. If your KTTW does not say DVC Member, you may not pool hop.

Also, renters technically are not entitled to DVC perks. These are for members and the guests staying with them only.

Deb is correct your WDW ID (key) must say DVC member for you to pool hop.

Forgot to add - you also have to be staying at a DVC resort, on points with your KTTW stating DVC Member. If you use your points to stay at non-DVC resort, you can't pool hop.

From my renting experience, my KTTW card did indicate DVC Member, and I was allowed the DVC member perks (i.e., the discount at Cape May).

True, that may happen. But, technically, you were not entitled to the discount and benefits. Occasionally they ask for your DVC Member card as well. And that is happening more and more.
