Is there a DVC member discount at La Hacienda?

I was just comparing my credit card statement to receipts I kept from our recent trip. On the receipt from La Hacienda de San Angel, the waitress gave us a 20% discount and added an 18% gratuity. Now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't realize we got a 20% discount on dinner anywhere. I did charge the dinner to our room and when she took my key to the world she noticed it said DVC member and told me she would go ahead and apply my discount. Did we just get lucky, or is this the regular discount at La Hacienda?

Sounds like you got lucky! The 20% off and 18% gratuity is consistent with a TIW transaction, but they don't participate with TIW. The portable perks shows a 10% DVC discount for lunch and dinner at La Hacienda. For large parties (8 or more, I think), the gratuity is usually included.

No you get a 20% discount there with DVC. There are a few restaurants where you get a 20 % discount for just showing your DVC card.

That list from allears is from 2012. Official discount per the member website for 2013 is 10%.

Was just there last week and received a 20% discount at La Hacienda for dinner. Also, no gratuity was automatically added. Hope that helps

There were 7 in our party, so that's where the automatic gratuity came from. I didnt realize we got 20% anywhere just for being DVC. Great benefit.
