Arriving at the Fort in a cabin on Dec. 10th right around 12pm. By the time we check in and unload I imagine it will be at least 1pm. We have an ADR at 7:15 but a sleigh ride scheduled at 5:30pm. Planning to put up a Christmas tree in cabin, etc. so we will need some time in the room before we head out. Don't really want to go to a park but would also don't like just grabbing lunch.. once at DIsney it is all about the experience for us.

SO we like to eat at places with great atmosphere and good food. Is there a CS at the Fort and if so how is it? It would probably be the easiest option. Also considering going to the WL - any thoughts there? thanks!

We will have our own car so transportation isn't as much of a factor off the Fort property.

The closest to counter service is the pool snack bar, which doesn't have great hours but should be open at noon time.
Sorry, I haven''t eaten at WL CS in a long time. We like Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary, you an take the boat there.

The Meadows Snack Bar is very limited - I'd head over to WL or any of the monorail resorts - Contempo Cafe, Captain Hooks are among are favorites for CS.

How did you find out about a sleigh ride? This sounds great, but this is our first time to Disney and we have no idea how to find out about all the "extras" there are to do in Disney. Don't want to miss out on some of these great opportunities, just do not know where to find out about them.

Have a great time and..... Check out this site, it pretty much has everything you'd want to know about WDW. http://www.wdwinfo.com/

CS also equals Comfort Station, of which there are several scattered arouind the Fort. All are about the same and also offer sit-down service (self-service). Reservations are not required and most are open 24/7 if you carry your KTTW card. :rotfl2:

You're already using one of the best methods of finding things out.....DISBOARDS! Seriously, just keep reading and reading on here and you will have a wealth of disney info. And just when you think you've learned everything...you'll learn something else!

My other advice for your first trip is don't try and do everything. Pick a couple of key things you really want to do and really take the time and enjoy those - just take in the experience. There's only so much you can do in a day without getting burned out.

Have a great trip and don't forget to give us a trip report when you get back!
