I am running the TOT 10 miler this fall.
I had really wanted this to be my first race ever (I've been running about 3 years, but never entered a race)--but several weeks ago, on this forum, someone recommended I should run another race first so I can get proof of time and not be placed in the last corral.
There is a small 10k coming up this weekend near me, and I was considering that one.
Is there a chart somewhere that will say
If you run the 10k in 30-40 minutes, you get placed in X corral
if you run the 10 k in 40:01-50 minutes, you get placed in Y corral
or whatever the standards are?
FWIW, I am guessing that I will complete the 10k in about 55 minutes. Not great, but I'm hoping it's fast enough to keep me out of the very last corral?
Thank you!
