Is there a charge for "Food & Wine Festival?

I have heard alot about it. Is there a charge for this? How does it work, please?

You have access to it with your park admission but to actually sample the food offerings there is a small fee per item. They cost between $1.00 and $4.50. I couldn't tell you how much the alcohol was since I didn't have any of that. I was only disappointed in the price/portion ratio of a couple of things I tried. Instead of eating in restaurants the two days I was there I just went from booth to booth making my own meal as I went along. It was a lot of fun and a great way to try new things. The whole thing created a great atmosphere around the World Showcase with the exception of a few people who don't know how to limit themselves when drinking but you have that anyway at EPCOT unfortunately. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. If you do a search over on the restaurant board you will find reviews from people who have gone this year and in the past.

I believe the alcohol was between $2.50-$5.00 for a sample of wine. There is no separate admission fee besides your park admission, if that's what you're asking. I thought the food was very expensive, but witnessed many people thoroughly enjoying their samples, particularly around Italy. I overheard a woman say the pizza was phenomenal. I'd catch it early in the day if you don't like crowds. By 7, the place was mobbed.

The price per portion isnt that remarkable, BUTTTTT...it is well worth it, we bought something at each of the booths...only one thing..and then split it with all 6 of us...we each got a sampling of the countrys flair and the kids loved trying all the different items! It was a great day of eating and fun!

Today was the last day for this year. Here is a sampling of things you can buy from a kiosk.
Greece: Honey Baklava, Greek Salad, Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce Spanakopita

Fresh from Florida: Blackened Mahi with Pineapple Salsa, Fishermans Stwe with Shrim, Clams and Seafood, Frozen Grapefruit Juice.

Ireland: Corned Beef and Cabbage with Colcannon, Whiskey Flan

South Africa: Beef Sosatie, Durban Spiced Chicken.

New Zealand: Lamb Chop, Chilled Nussels

Spain: Gazpacho with Spanish Olive Bread, Sangira Flan, Paella with Shrimp, Clams, Chicken and Chorizo

each of these and all the others had a wine and beer offering too. As someone else said each of these are served on an approx 4" syrofoam plate and costs between 1 and 5 dollars.

Along with the booths described above, there are also special events which you pay for.

BUT there are also wine and beer tastings, and food preparation demonstrations (where you get samples of the prepared food)which are FREE (other than park admission). These events obviously have long lines to get in, but there are quite a few of them scheduled throughout the day.
