Is there a bus to MK from FW?/Should we get a golf cart?

When we stayed at VWL we were SO spoiled. We were right by the elevators and then a really short walk to the bus stop. NO ONE took the bus to MK since WL has the boat, so we'd basically walk out of our room and we were at MK in about 10 minutes.

I know I won't have this luxury this time around no matter what (which makes me think we should splurge and get a golf cart.

So I'm wondering if boats are the only transport option or if there is a bus as well to MK.

Golf carts are fun, and if the expense isn't an issue, then go ahead and treat yourself! I don't know if you are staying in the cabins or the camping loops, but in my opinion, if you are staying in the cabins the golf cart will make the trip much more enjoyable. I personally have found the cabins some what removed from the many amenities that FW offers. They are great..but a bit removed, so the golf cart makes life just a bit easier. It's great to tour all the loops with them also.

Yes, if you can afford it, rent a cart. The same boats you used at VWL will be the same ones for FW. We always use the boats so I've never notice if there is a bus to the Magic Kingdom.

There's are busses to all the parks plus Downtown Disney. But we enjoy the boat ride and sometimes get off at the Contemporary and ride the monorail "for the heck of it".

During our Sept. stay at FW there was no bus to MK from FW. If you hop on the Orange Setlement Bus and stay on it, it will take you to WL. You would then get off and get on the MK bus.

Yep, the above are right on about the busses, not sure why they do that to be honest, it's not like no one's goes to the MK from the Fort :/

And if you can afford the golf cart, go for it, you will have a blast!

Like the others have said if you can afford to do the golf cart go for it. They are a lot of fun and a great way to quickly get around.

I didn't even realize there wasn't a bus to MK from the Fort. That is odd. We always took the boat so I guess I just didn't pay any mind to it.

Yea, the only reason that makes any sense is that you can take the boat, so perhaps they don't see the need to double up on the transportation.

We also always take the boat, you would have to pay me to take the bus instead of the boat...lol.

Yep, I agree with above, no bus to MK, but we will always take the boat - it's like our first ride of the day - so much fun for the kids.

The boat ride going back to the Fort at the end of the day is NOT fun. Going there is fine. Except for those WL people.

Well, I guess it depends on what you have going on. For us, it's always a fun ride there or back, I love checking out everything (even though it's the millionth time doing so...lol). However, if I really had to go to the bathroom or were dead dead dead tired, then it probably wouldn't be so much fun
