So my DSis, DH, and I just returned yesterday from a very quick 4 day trip to Disney that was part of a larger 2-week vacation in Florida. We were staying at a condo in Bradenton as part of a silent auction win and I threw in the 4 days to get my Disney fix.

We did 4 full park days and pretty well went Commando style which I have not done in years and book-ended our arrival and departure days with some yummy TS and DTD shopping.

Hope you enjoy our quick ride. :)

Some background on the people in this report:

I am Lesley. 32 years old and from Newfoundland, Canada. Married to DH Doug also from here in Newfoundland. We celebrated our 4th anniversary on this trip. We have tried other vacations but keep coming back to Disney. He is not a planner at all. He tells me about 3 or 4 things he would like to do and I go on my merry way planning our trip. He appreciates the plan though and follows it without complaint, even hauling out of bed to be at rope drop. This was our 3rd trip to WDW together (2009-engagement trip, 2011-1st anniversary,2014- 4th anniversary) and my 6th overall. We also did a trip to DL last year with my parents but our hearts are in WDW.

On this trip we were joined by my best friend and sister, Paula. Her DH couldn't come so it was an interesting time of trying to balance 2 relationships. Paula has not been to WDW since a 2001 family trip so there were many new things for her to discover. (She'd never stepped foot in a resort before, let alone stay in one.)

I'll post some pics later today so you can see who I'm talking about. Paula is a fairly adventurous eater and was happy with any restaurant, Doug is the thread title...not as picky here at home but on vacations without the usual staples, planning was essential. Pizza, burger, vanilla icecream, and fish and chips as long as it is cod. If you're looking for a review on burgers...this is the thread to compare and contrast. I'm somewhere in the middle. I tend to order apps as meals since my portions are smaller but am fairly adventurous.

Ok where we ate:

Paradiso 37
Raglan Road
The Plaza
Capn. Cooks'
Sunshine Seasons
Yorkshire County
Les Halles
Teppan Edo
Liberty Tree Tavern
Sanaa
La Cantina
ESPN Zone
Grand Floridian Cafe

There are also some snacks and alcoholic beverage samplings mixed in here.

Ok Hope you all enjoy. :)

This is DH Doug. As I was saying the picky one but I love him to pieces. We celebrated our anniversary last Friday but today he came home from work with sunflowers for me, my favourite flower. :)

Paula is on the left and I'm on the right. If I can find a better picture of us I will post it. This is right after we arrived at all-star sports.

I'm hoping to get started with the first report tomorrow. :)

Sounds like a fun trip! Looking forward to reading about Paradiso 37 and GF Cafe!

Thought I would say hi and follow along. I'm a fellow NLer but have lived in Ottawa for the past 10 years. I'm also right around your age (33) and obviously love wdw! Where do you live in NL?

That's a nice assortment of dining crammed into a 4 day trip! Looking forward to your reviews!

Looking forward to more. There are some here we are trying this trip so interested.

I had been loving trip reports but think I am even bigger fan of dining reports :thumbsup2

Don't you just love the intricacies of a multi-relationship or multi-generational trip ?

In my past experiences with these, (as well as some "regular" trips) in the planning stages, I heard "Oh, you go ahead and plan, we'll just go along with whatever you think is best, you've had the most experience and done the most preparation on that website that you're always on . . . ". Then guess what ? "We're eating here? But they don't have . . . . " " What do you mean we have to go eat now? Can't we just tell the restaurant that we'll be back in an hour or two?" :rotfl2:

Sometimes I enjoy the kid's attitudes on a trip, compared to an adult's, lol !
