Is there a better time of year to visit?

I haven't been to Universal in over 15 years, so I have no clue if one time of year is better to visit than another.

We can either go the first week of June 2019 or the third week of October 2019. We've done Disney at these times, so I know what to expect weather wise. I'm interested in knowing what crowds are like during these times at Universal. We plan to stay at a hotel that includes the express pass. Since we'll have the express pass, will crowds really matter much? Does Universal offer discounts like Disney does?

Crowds are probably a bit lower the first week in June. You'll get some crowds on HHN days in the third week in October. There really won't be a ton of difference. You may see some school crowds still during the first week of June.

Usually the good times to go are few weeks after school starts or a few weeks before school ends.

Late January, early May, early September, early December.

High crowd times will be the most expensive hotel rates.
