Is there a "best place to get a churro" at DLR

We'll be making our first trip to DLR next month. I've been going to WDW since the 70s, so I've done a fair bit of research on things to do at DLR that are unique to DLR. It could have just been timing, but I was very amused early in my research at how churros could stir up a little controversy. I saw folks from DLR say WDW wasn't as good because the churros weren't as good at WDW. I saw folks fussing at each over over churros.

In the end, I had to add trying a DLR churro to my list of things to try on our trip. (To be honest, I've never even had a churro at WDW, so now I'm going to have to try one next time I'm there as well.) I've traveled a fair bit and always make a point of trying the local specialties and I've found that it's not just trying the local food, it's knowing where the good local food is, which is why I ask this question.

I understand this may be way too much time to spend on churros, but I have to ask. If I'm going to have a DLR churro, is there a right place to get my DLR churro? Or is getting one pretty much anywhere in either of the parks going to give me the full DLR churro experience?

Any cart in the parks, just NOT DTD...the DTD cart is an independent vendor

Best is to look for a cart that is pumping them out fresh to keep up with demand rather than a cart that has made a bunch that have been siting for a bit.

My favorite is the one located by Haunted Mansion, but that's more for sentimental reasons than because they're objectively better. I agree that the more frequented ones are better, though, since they tend to be sold straight away instead of sitting and getting cold.

Agree with the comment about going to a cart that has a line and is consistently rolling out fresh churros. I take a glance to see if there are any sitting and I'll wait until they start rolling out fresh ones before I buy one.

The ones in Downtown Disney are interesting with the different flavors and ice cream but DO NOT be fooled, these are not the same as the churros inside the park. Not even close.

I think I've only ever gotten a churro twice, but both times I went to carts that had no line, and they still made them fresh. They didn't have any sitting out ready to go. It's probably a good idea to look in the cart and see if they have them sitting out before purchasing, but it might not be mecessary to go to a busy cart just to get a fresh one.

I am definitely a believer that DL churros are by far superior to WDW's. Idk why, but they are. They just are. Night and day.

Agree with others, anywhere in the two parks but get one that is fresh. Yes, wait. Trust me, it's worth it! :D

The one in front of the castle likely moves a lot of merchandise and keeps them fresh. It makes for a great "on the go" breakfast. :)
It's practically cinnamon toast! Breakfast of champions!

I've heard that they don't make them at the carts at WDW, but they make them in a central location and farm them out to the carts, so they're not fresh.

Well mystery solved! :magnify:

Nothing beats a fresh churro ... now I'm craving one. Doh!

As someone who has been to both DLR and WDW every year for the last several years, I can attest that the churros are far superior at DLR. My favorite is the cart down by the castle not long after the park opens. Stumbled across that for breakfast one morning last year and it was the best churro I have ever had! I've never had a bad one at DLR though.

Our favorite place is the Cozy Cones. Nothing better than enjoying a churro while walking in Radiator Springs, especially at night! But we have gotten them from carts throughout the park. No matter where or when, they are always delicious!

I like the one by Casey Jr Circus Train.

BTW, they always make them fresh when you order them. I've never seen any carts with a bunch already made and dipped in the cinnamon sugar.

I don't know why, but my favorite place to grab a churro is the cart in Town Square! Mmmm, I could go for one right now. Sadly I won't be back till December.

Enjoy the DL churro!

And while you are at it....make sure you get a corn dog at DL. Amazing. And bypass the mickey pretzel for the jalapeno cheese filled one at the coke corner on Mainstreet! ::yes::
