Is there a AAA code for the spring package?

The one with the free ticket upgrade? I'm trying to weigh whether it's worth joining AAA. I already have the package booked and deposit paid. TIA!

You can get the free ticket ticket upgrade by booking through AAA. However, you don't get the AAA discount AND free ticket upgrade. Its one or the other, you can't double stack discounts. For us, we opted for the room discount and only got park hopper tickets. It's just me, DH and DD that will be 2 when we arrive, so she is free. If we decide to go to a water park, it will be cheaper for us to just pay OOP for water park tickets.

You need to work the numbers based on the # of people in your party and their ages and what you plan to do while you're there to see which option works best for you.

Thanks, that is what I thought. We have been AP holders for the past few years but all of them have expired now. We also have one DD that's 11, so she's now an adult (yeah, right!). It's killing me paying rack rate. Three nights at WL with two day base tickets for 2 adults and 1 child is $1600, not counting food. To add dining would have been $2100 total! The real killer is $350 a night for WL, when I 've had it as cheap as $199 a night a few years back!

OT, Your DD is precious! What part of Bama are you from? We spent three years at UAB in B'ham in the early '90s and loved it.

Thank you! I really need to update the picture. That was taken when she was 18 months, she'll be 3 in April. Her cheeks are still pinchable tho'.

We live in Pelham, a surburb of B'ham. I'm looking to go back to school next year and will probably go to UAB.

BTW, we booked 8 nights at POR with 9 day Park Hopper and dining for 2 adults (again DD is free). The total cost with AAA 15% discount off the room is $2425.14. If we had chosen the free ticket upgrade, the package would be $2567.08. Last year we did a split stay between AKL Concierge and renting pts at BWV. That spoiled me a little bit and I would love to do that again, but to save some $$$ this year, we opted to go moderate. We pay $63 for a yearly membership and that covers me and DH. I would think GA would be similar in price. We had to call AAA for auto problems a couple of times last year. I have no idea what we would have done or had to pay if we didn't have their service. The yearly fee is totally worth it for us. All of the extra benefits is just a plus.
