Is there a 24 hour stomach bug going around???

I woke up at 3am with stomach cramps and after about an hour they subsided and I went back to sleep. I was ok at work today then when I got home from work it started again. Anyone know of anything that's going around?

I know that a friend of mine on another bb is sick as a dog today. She just got back from Vero, and thinks she brought something back with her....she thinks she is in Hell.

I don't know what it is called -- BUT something picked us off one by one this Thanksgiving - started with my youngest - went through her cousins -- hit a couple of adults -- so far I have been spared

It did seem to last about 24 hours - at least with the kids - seemed like the next day they were back to normal -- the adults needed a little more time to get over it --

It was vomiting, diarreaha - a little headache - upset stomach

Is it the "turkey trots"? That's what one of the Mom's was calling it at school today! I had 3 kids leave my classroom early today b/c of stomach pains, etc. Something must be going around. Here's to hoping I don't get it!

It went through my DS pre-school the week before Thanksgiving. DH and I were still having stomach upset on Thanksgiving.

Yep it went thru our house - started with youngest DD then to me then to DH. Somehow oldest DD skipped it! I hope she continues to avoid it. Blech.

I know of at least 2 kids in my class that had it over Thanksgiving break. One had actually thrown up at school too but thank goodness it was during recess.

Yep, we came back from Thanksgiving with the gift that keeps on giving...

It started with one little cousin and next thing you know, the entire family has it. Extended family included. We came back (3 hour drive), pulled up into the driveway and DS starting vomiting. Went all night with that and the "D" word. DH has had it today and I started feeling really bad at work and had to come home. DD has not gotten it so far (knock on wood), but her preschool teacher told me today that she informed the whole class that her "Daddy has Diarrhea!"

I am debating on staying home another day tomorrow. I am just in the "waiting and really hoping I don't vomit tonight" phase right now. I know A LOT of people who have either just recently had this or have it right now. Really weird. Guess it's just that time of the year? The most wonderful time of the year, right?

It has been the past few weeks at my house. Started with my dd and ds #1 on one day, then 4 days later it hit ds #2. A few days after that I got it. Few days after that dh got it. Then my parents came to visit - within a few days, my dad got it. So far that's been the end of it, but it was a nasty bug. Fortunately it only lasts a day or two at the most.

That's exactly what I had on Thanksgiving Day. It started early that morning so it wasn't food poisioning for sure. The vomiting lasted about 8 hours then the body aches, headache and fever started. That lasted a day, but it has taken me several days to get my strength back. I lost 7 pounds. I was VERY pale also. I'm almost afraid to say this but it looks like DH and DS were spared.

My daughter had it Friday night.... she threw up at 2am all over my bedroom floor and then had diahhrea the next day and didn't eat but was fine by the next day. And my son had 24 hours of lovely diahhrea and is now all gone. So it MUST be going around.
