Is the ticket bought at Undercover Tourist a durable hard plastic?

I plan to buy a ten day ticket and use it up over a 4 or 5 year time span. I know that the tickets purchased through disney are the hard credit card type. Are the ones from UT similar or are they more of a less sturdy laminated paper?

the last time I bought tickets from UT, they were the laminated paper type. When we used last summer, it was raining nonstop due to TS Fay and the UT tickets did not hold up well with all the moisture. We were able to get the tickets transferred to a hard plastic type card at one of the guest service windows though. I should add, I have never had problems wiht the UT tickets before, it was just during that trip we had an unbelieveable amount of rain; they just couldn't hold up!

I bought from them back in July and got the paper tickets. Guest Services can reissue them if they start to get tattered.

I got some back before the last price increase and they were the paper kind. I've ordered from them a few times and that's always been the case for me.

I've been ordering from UT for years & they've always been the Tyvek ones. They are actually much more sturdy than plastic cards (I guess unless you're in a tropical storm for days like the OP!!) I don't think WDW issues plastic cards anymore unless it's your KTTK card issued from your resort, or by special request.

before I even use mine, I have them transferred to the "room key" type card. Never had any issues.

Keep in mind that annual passes are also only issued on the "Tyvek" type material, so Disney feels this holds up better than the plastic cards. If you do have a problem with it, Disney only needs the numbers off the back to be able to reissue the ticket.

We got tickets through them at the beginning of this summer & they were plastic cards with the characters on them-like credit card quality. I liked them-great souvenirs.
