Is the room type you are looking for coming up as unavailable under a promo?

You may want to try opening a private window.

I logged in at 6:45 to make a new reservation under the new early 2016 room only promo at POR. The system was only showing king and river view left. I opened a new private window to see what the rates were at the other moderates, and then suddenly it was showing availability in all of the categories at POR. I quickly booked the standard room.

I just tried looking up rates again (8am) to see if it was a fluke, and the same thing happened again. If you're not getting the rate you're looking for online at first, you may want to try a search in a private window.

I tried using a private window on Safari and Chrome with no luck. I can only see club level rooms.

I was having issues modifying my reservation so I opened a new incognito window(chrome). It worked that time and I was able to modify with the discount.

Is the private window the same as just logging out on the WDW site?

I did this and got the discount at pofq which they were telling me was sold out. Not impressed but got my discount.

I can't find the new discounts for the winter on the Disney Website. It is not even listed under special deals. Edit Found them but they were not easy to find. Thank-You
Thanks,

I'm glad it worked for you! I was also very unimpressed. I felt like they were trying to force me into a more expensive room.

It's called an Incognito Window in Chrome and Private window in Firefox and Safari. It basically will block some tracking cookies to allow you to see the site as if they do not know who you are. This is also useful on other travel websites that have demonstrated a price difference based on times visited. Also, if you use a Mac do not use safari as it may trigger some sites to show you a higher price than other users. This was reported on some tech websites a few years ago and I'm not sure if the practice is continued but you can always do a test side by side to be sure.

This is so cool -- thanks for the info! I actually didn't know how to do this, but a quick google taught me :). I just searched for my return airfare incognito and it is the same price as my 3x a day search, but it was worth a shot!
