Now that they have raised the price and include a photo package, I was wondering how long before they try to make it a 2 TS credit meal? Here's the new info from AllEars.

A photo package will be included for ALL reservations made for April 27, 2008 and beyond for Princess Storybook Dining at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. Prices are as follows:

Breakfast: $28.99 ages 10 and older; $12.99 ages 3-9
Lunch: $30.99 ages 10 and older; $13.99 ages 3-9
Dinner: $35.99 ages 10 and older; $14.99 ages 3-9

Holiday Pricing will be:

Breakfast: $32.99 ages 10 and older; $14.99 ages 3-9
Lunch: $34.99 ages 10 and older; $15.99 ages 3-9
Dinner: $39.99 ages 10 and older; $16.99 ages 3-9

Price includes non-specialty, non-alcoholic drinks (sodas, coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade, punch, milk). Tax and gratuity are NOT included.

I don't think anyone knows for sure just yet, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't 2TS. The adult prices are very similar to CRT (within a dollar or two) while the child prices are a bit less.

I am going to cry if they do! I was planning on taking my girls there! The more this year goes on, the more $$$ I am going to have to save for my November trip! It is becoming outrageous! I honestly don't know how normal middle-class people like us can do this year after year anymore!:sad2:

If they put this to 2TS we're not going any more. We did CRT on OOP basis and even that was too much.

As hard as they were pushing the photo packages this past December (we went Christmas Eve), I'm not surprised they're going to start doing this. There were more people not buying the photo than buying it.

subscribing to the thread :

I have this one on my list for ADR in August- going to make in 8 days- I will not be to pleased if they change it to 2 - I will ask when I book -so thanks for the heads up.

Yes, please let us know. I have a ressie in May using the DDP deluxe and need to know if it will be 2 TS or not. I may have to change if it is, I'll need to do the numbers. Wouldn't be surprised though:confused:

Wow, I hadn't heard this before!! So glad you brought this up! It wouldn't be worth it for us to have breakfast there if it was 2TS credits, and we never liked the lunch or dinner foods. I will be keeping an eye on this thread.

We always buy the photo pkg anyway. If the tip is included, it might help justify the increased cost (for us). Does anyone remember how much the photo pkg is? Dinner would cost 15. more for our family, and we paid more than that for the pictures, so its a bargain at 1 TS. I don't think it will be worth 2 TS credits.

If it goes up to 2 TS credits I'll probably still eat there since I have the deluxe plan, but I'm not sure. I would have to cut out something from my plans, since I am planning all my credits around TS meals. Either that or just pay for a one-credit TS meal OOP.

Also where did you see this on All Ears? I didn't see anything about it on there. :confused3

If anyone receives confirmation that it will remain 1 TS credit....make sure to document it every way possible. After the stink over the DDP changes....I'd make sure what they were going to charge before I arrived.

I just got off the phone with Disney, and I asked specifically whether Akershus is one or two credits on the DDP when the new photo package is included. I was told one. I had the woman check with her supervisor to be sure (so that I could get names and document). She got back on the phone and said that she was told that it will continue to remain one credit, but that things are always subject to change.

So I guess the answer is that it's one credit, unless it's two credits. ;)

CRT includes the tip because it's a prepaid meal (unless you are on the dining plan, you must pay when you book it) and the cost of the tip is built into the price of the meal. If Akershus moves to prepaid, that's when it may also include the tip. If not, no tip.

I go in May and this is one we have scheduled (and have never done before). We are doing the DDP. I would "think" that since the rules, etc. of the DDP have been published for 2008 it would be harder for them to change them mid-year. Not saying they couldn't change them, just that it would seem a tad bit contentious.

I made reservations yesterday for June. I was tols one table credit, but nothing about the photo package. We're on the dining plan and i hope it stays one credit. We did have to give a credit card to reserve our table, but he specified one table service credit and of course characters are subject to change....
